Okay, everybody, I still have my sanity annnnnddd my husband will be home in a little over a month! I think the weather getting warmer and baseball season starting has helped things move quicker. He told me he is getting burnt out with the 12-14 hour days, seven days a week. I guess it would be like Groundhog Day, the movie. I am getting ready to start my menu planning. Have to have some great dinners lined up for him. :D

That's awesome! Military families make such big sacrifices for the good of our country and the rest of the world. Try not to stare at the calendar to much. :)

How wonderful. I'm sure you are totally excited. How's your daughter doing lately? Did all that bad behavior ~ or at least the out of the norm behavior~ stop finally?
Gosh, it seems like yesterday that you said he left. (yea I know, NOT to you LOL ) What date did he leave? What's the date he gets to come home?

She is doing fine. She has her moments, but they seem to be going by a little faster, now that she is communicating better and understands us more. She has been alot of fun to be around.
Dh left around Dec 28th and "should" be back by around May 10th. You know, now that I am at this point, it does feel like it was just yesterday that he left. Not looking forward to hime leaving in September. This time he will be gone for all the major holidays. he will get back from that round the middle of January.

I'm just tickled pink for you. I know how long these next 34 days will be for you...we have about that many until summer break! I'll count them down with you and then we can commiserate together in September! Seriously, I can't really imagine what this must be like for you.

Oh wow! That is exciting! What branch is he? My husband is a former Marine. Deployments are so tough. I can't imagine doing it with children.

He is not in the Army. He is a federal employee working for the Army. He was in the Armyback a few years ago and got his engineering degree while he was in the Army. He got out thinking that it life would be easier without all the deployments! Hmmm, wonder what happened? It has it's good days and bad. I have my mil here and his Mamaw to help me when I need it. I try not to ask for too much unless I need it.

That's exactly why I'm home now. I was a military pilot for 16 1/2 years. I went on a few short deployments a few times after DD was born and I just couldn't stand it. I do think it's different being deployed as the mommy vs. the daddy but I applaud the sacrifice of the whole family. It's tough.

Congrats! I am a military wife so I know how those long times apart can be. I hope your last month goes by fast.
