Just wanted to share pictures of quilted wall hangings being donated to an auction in May. I'm going to keep either the butterflies or the hot air balloons but haven't decided which yet.

I would take any one of them! They are beautiful!

Thanks - they are even prettier in person. I'm not much of a quilter but I really enjoy the process of this particular project. It's a pattern called Though My Window by Patch Works Studio. I enlarged the pattern so I could add more window panes.

If they do well for the guild at auction I will continue to do/donate them.

Wow! I wish I could do that. Great work.

you absolutely could do it! Just takes some material, Steam A Seam 2, and the ability to sew a straight line. It's really easy, just takes a little time.

That's the beauty of it, it looks terribly complicated but it isn't. All that black "windowpane" is one solid piece where the "windows" have been cut out. Just takes a little time and patience to cut. And it's backed with Steam A Seam 2 so when you're done cutting, you just iron it on to the material. The gal who created the pattern did a great job.

Oh how generous of you to donate those. They look wonderful.... I think the balloons are my favorite.

I am a fellow quilter and I appreciate all the work and creativity that goes into your work. These are beautiful. Did you make your won bias strips and are these hand or machine quilted?

So very pretty! I have recently tried my hand at quilting and I am enjoying it.
