Jet--Liberty, TX--Houston area

I noticed most are from the MI area. Probably the weather is too nice today for any of you to be in by your computers or sewing machines. It would be great to hear from any in this area.

I don't live in TX now. But I have lived in Corsicana and twice in Humble. I don't miss the bugs. I do miss the people and the green. (We're in the high desert in California)

I live up in the Dallas area - in fact, Crumbear and I don't live too far apart from each other!

Crumbear works inside my local JoAnns, so I often go by and visit with her. It's been nice to put a face with an online sewing buddy. :)

I've never lived down in the H-town area, but I think the humidity would kill me! It's bad enough here in Dallas. Ugh.

Yep, Sew N' Sane and I live pretty close to each other. She likes to come up to work so we can chit chat and gossip. :D

That's actually how I came up with my name Sew 'N Sane...I actually like to think that I am sewing myself sane...most of the time, though, I am really sew insane....:stupid:

Sew "N Sane the Dallas area is not far from me...actually used to live there 6 yrs ago before my divorce...around here there aren't too many fabric stores...we have a Hancock but it is old and not stocked with many nice fabics...to much of that home decor stuff...we have a few quilt shops...I purchased my machine in Lgv. at Sharman's sewing center...anyway can you recommend some better fabric shops in the Dallas area that I may be able shop?

I can probably tell you where just about every fabric store in Dallas is located. I even know where all the fabric outlet stores are.

What kind of sewing do you like to do? I, myself, do a lot of home decor' sewing, so I mostly know where those stores are, but I do frequent a couple of quilt stores I really like.

Let me know what you're looking for, and I'll make you a list. :)

JET....I'm only about 30 minutes from you! I live in Highlands, just about 5 miles north of Baytown.

You can tell that I have not lived in this area all my life because I'm not sure where Highlands is. It would be fun to get together sometime.

sew n sane sorry so late in replying back...I love decorating the most and would love to know where those places would be and of course outlets sound really good as well. I do have a 3 yr old girl that I sew for so anything that would be good for her as well. Thanks so much!

I live in Haslet, Texas. Anybody ever heard of that? Our claim to fame is that we can hear the racecars from the Texas Motor Speedway. (that is if the wind is blowin' right.) We are moving to Frisco this summer--from the country to the city.

Hi,

I am new to this board although I do belong to some others. I love the designs on this site they are so cute. So I am happy I found it. I have been embroidering for about 5 years now.
Jet, I do live in the Houston area. Just north of the city by about 30 minutes.
