My husband bought me a Singer Quantum Futura over a year ago, and I am just getting to the point where I have time to figure it out. I am having issues with the bobbin thread showing through on the top of my designs. This is happening no matter what design I use. I have read several threads here that discuss adjusting the tension. I have seen an explanation of how to adjust the bobbin tension, but how do you adjust the top tension. Also, is it the same on all machines? If not, can anyone who knows my machine tell me how to adjust the tension? I appreciate all the help I can get.....

I have no idea how to adjust it on a Singer. I know on my brother I go through the help screen. However, when I first set up my brother I was having the same problem. I even called the help line. She gave me some pointers but as I was talking with her my neighbor was reading the book. Come to find out I had the bobbin in backwards. :O As soon as I turned it around, everything came out great.

I had the Singer Futura when I first got started with machine embroidery. I can tell you what little I remember about changing the tension. When I first got my machine I had that same problem with the bobbin thread showing through. I found out that I needed to change the bobbin tension. For that, you will look on the black (I think?) bobbin casing. There is a very, very tiny screw that you turn 1/4 turn and then try your machine. If that didn't work, turn it another 1/4 turn and try again. You repeat that step until the bobbin thread remains on the bottom. I never found changing the top thread tension helped with this problem. Let me know if I can help you further.
