Okay Everyone - Here we go again!
I have finally decided that I can not go another day without getting some of those wonderful travel tumblers. So.....I'm going to organize the next group buy.
It looks like they will still cost $2.50 each plus shipping. I'm going to call them and find out what shipping will cost to me, then I'll split that out per tumbler and add it to the cost. Then the only other charge will be for shipping the tumblers to you.
So, please send me a private message if you are interested and let me know how many you would like (in multiples of 6).

Count me in!!! I was so excited to read this post. I will sent you a message right now. One question...Since you said May Group buy, does that mean you are planning on doing this often?
I am asking to try and figure how many I want.
Thank you so much for doing this!!

I mainly put May in the title so we could make sure that someone doesn't post on the wrong thread and miss out on the opportunity.
But, depending upon how things go, it might be a regular thing.

Is this the same ones you guys got before?
(If so, I think maybe I'll move that other thread off the board if no one minds)
These?

I believe that's what they got last time. I hope so, since that's what I was going to order. :p

That's the picture from the other thread so it should be the same. Do you need any of the info from the other thread? If not, do you want that moved out so there's no confusion?

Vicki, what about locking it so that the information could be referenced, but so that no one could "place an order" there? Just a thought.

HA! That's funny because I had that thought about 2 minutes ago and was just coming back to do just that. LOL

I posted a question on the other thread last week.
Can you close these tumblers on the lid or is the whole "unclosable" (don't think that's a real word but you know what I mean right?)

Vicki, thanks for the link from the other post to this one.
I've gotten several messages from interested people, but there is definitely still room for more to order!

Okay - I just wanted to give everyone an update...
I just spoke with the company, and I can order any amount over 100 for the $2.50 price. As of right now, I have a quantity of 66 spoken for (without the ones I want).
I am going to order at least 100, but I want to make sure that anyone who wants some can get in on this deal.
So, you can order as many or as few as you would like. Just take into account that there will be charges for shipping, so ordering just one or two mugs will cost you more per mug than ordering eight or ten.
I'm going to wait until Monday to place the order, just to make sure how many I need to get. Then, when I get the shipping costs to me, I can figure out the final per-mug-price and then shipping costs to each persons home.
Come on everyone.....it's never too early to start thinking about Christmas. :santaclaus:

Sew 'N Sane - did you make the order yet? I was just wondering if you knew the final cost and when you wanted our $$$! ;)

I placed the order and they should be on their way, but the company didn't send me a confirmation so that I would know how much shipping was.
If everyone who ordered from me will send me their address, then as soon as I know how much shipping to me was, I can add that cost to the per mug cost and then get direct shipping costs and give everyone their totals.

The mugs arrived today!
I will be calculating everyone's final per mug price and then getting shipping estimates. As soon as I have that information, I will PM everyone. If you have not already sent me your address, please do so ASAP.
I can't wait to get some of these made!!!

Hey gang - sorry about not getting back to everyone yet. I've had several customer jobs due the past couple of weeks and all sorts of end of school activities.
I'm going to be sorting things out and packaging them up today so that I can get everyone's final costs to them ASAP.
Thank you for all of your hard work with our order!!

Well, after several weeks of craziness, I finally got around to making up some of the tumblers.
OH MY GOSH - I am totally and completely hooked!!!!
I made the tumblers for my youngest sons teachers and they looked amazing! I didn't get a chance to take any pictures because he had to take them into school since it's the last day.
Next one I make is going to be for me!!! :burnout:

sew n sane,
do they come with a pattern for cutting the material?

06-05-2008, 11:38 AM
Yes - In fact, I just found them yesterday. I had left them a message because I thought I hadn't received any, but then I opened all the boxes and found them! They help tremendously.
My son gave the mugs I made last night to his teachers and they all LOVED them! They just couldn't thank me enough. Talk about an inexpensive, but highly valued, teachers gift.

Did you use material or Kiwi paper? What kind of stabilizer did you use? I've had a couple of suggestions, just want to see what everyone does and find the best/easiest way. Glad they turned out nicely!

Is anyone planning to order more mugs or get up an order? I would love to have around 20-25. Or---- If anyone has any that they are not going to use I would like to buy them from you. Just PM me and let me know how much and where to mail to $. Wish I hadn't been so chicken to join earlier and I could have gotten in on this bargain!!!!
Thanks

Gosh, I'd still like to see the answer to the type of material/paper you used - is Kiwi paper dense enough to hold one of the Dolly designs? What about stabilizer?

Someone said that they have used vinyl tablecloth fabric.

Anyone?? If you bought any of these tumblers when this purchase was made, can you offer any suggestions to this member asking about the tumblers?
