anyone do work on Neoprene??

Has anyone embroidered on neoprene (wet suit material)? I have been trying and my thread keeps fraying. I don't know if it is the material I am embroidering on or if it is my machine. I have completed a project on the neoprene before the fraying started so I am not sure if it is the material.

Does anyone know of a material that is not good to embroider on?

Please help!!
