So I have notced that people will stitch out a design and frame it...how do you finish the edges?
WHat fabric do you stitch it on?

I have only done a couple of designs. I made my in-laws and an aunt a frame with their names and wedding dates on it. I didn't finish the edges of my material as I was too lazy and figured it wouldn't show anyway!! My MIL actually hung hers in their bedroom!!!

Marilynd:
Try this, trace the size of frame that you want. stitch over the traced lines to secure the material to the stabilizer. Hoop and stitch. It's hard to stitch the material and stablilizer without having "puckers" and little folds. You can then put it in a frame or you can sew bias tape for the edges, or just make your own framed edge out of a contrasting material.
