I've had my machine for well over a year and have mostly used the smaller hoop. Recently I started using the large hoop. This week I took 12 orders for tee shirts with a design that needs the larger hoop, all of which have to be shipped Monday. I've sewn out two of the tees today and part of the designs are wonky in each of them, around the same spots. I noticed that my hoop is really shaky even though it is very securely attached. I think the problem is that the machine is not made to stabilize such a big hoop. I sewed out a tee on the small hoop today and it's perfect. I'm so upset! Upset enough to look at other machines but DH would have my head. :( :( :( Does anybody have any suggestions?

I have the Deco 340--since March of '07. I do a good many designs on the larger hoop with no problem. I use Embird and I found that if I save a design in Embird using the smaller hoop, sometimes the design is distorted on the machine--especially if it is one that had added text or merged designs. I ruined a few things before I realized the problem. Now I save everything with the large hoop size selected and have not had the problem since then. Saving it in that size does not require me to stitch it in the larger hoop.

I have had that problem, too, on my Janome 350e. I noticed it would do that when I had bigger shirts or sweatshirts on the hoop and the weight of it might have tugged alittle more than it should have. On smaller tshirts, it would do it sometimes if the shirt was so small that it was folded really tight back up around the hoop and held out of the way. Ughh! Having to hold everything up can be tiresome! Hope you figure it out soon. I know what you are feeling right now, sounds like you are in for a long weekend!
Good luck!
