Need help with Iron On Patches Please

Hello everyone!

I have just found this message board and am so excited! We have a new embroidery business and I had a customer that would like to have some little (and I mean little!) patches made to iron onto shirts. My question is this, I have the design done but have no idea what to put it on so that it will be able to be ironed onto anything, is it a special backing, a special material you sew in onto??

i bought one from spotlight. its like fabrics. there's 2 types, one is cloth material whereas the other is paper material. cloth iron on is much more expensive. i was told to put this together with the item i want to do embroidery on then stick together. but i think thats wrong. it should be i complete the embroidery work then i cut it out (most prob applique?) and then sew it with the iron on patch. otherwise i can do the interior of the embroiderey design and the last part where the outline is sewn, i can attach the iron on to it and sew together. thats what i have when i ordered from a site (iron on applique). looks like.

There's 2 sides of the iron on. the shiny portion is the sticky portion where we iron it onto the fabric surface.

Otherwise i think u can just buy fabric glue and try if it works. i bought from spotlight too and its said to be washable and yet still stays.

Look at www.Allstitch.net They have some sprays I think you could use.

Does she want the patch to stay on the item through washings, etc. if so you will have to go with the iron cloth.

Allstitch has a product called 606 Spray On Fusible Web. It is a 6.5 oz can for $11.95. It says to make any fabric into an iron on and it says it is permanent. I have never used it personally.
