I need some input! Craft room question!

Okay, we are getting new countertops put in and I want to reuse what we have in my craftroom. The longest piece is where the sink was, so there is a big hole there. My mil said to just cut the piece in two and piece it back together. I was wondering if anyone had any inspiration for that hole. Is there anything I could put down in it to use for a craftroom? It is a typical double sink size hole. TIA!

I've heard of people insetting their machines, so they have a giant flat surface(especially quilters). Maybe you could have your machine sunken into that hole?

I have no idea how you would set it up but if the hole was off to the left or right and you were using the table area as a cutting table, you could push all our trash into the hole and put a big trash can underneath it.
