I didn't get any done today. :( I had to work all day, then my son came home from school with a migrane. I can't sew or do much of anything when he gets one. :( I've never had one, but he's had them since he's been 4. My heart aches for him.
But yesterday, I embroidered 6 sweatshirts for my grandkids for Christmas and did some drywall in my bathroom! Drywall isn't a sewing project, but it's such a pain, I had to pat myself on the back for it! :D

That is a cute idea.
I sewed up the "quilt in a cup". And I made 2 pads. Yes, I make my own cloth pads. ( mama cloths).

(((HUGS)))) for your son. My youngest daughter and I both suffer from migraines. They are such a disruption to your life. It's great though that you respect that and try to give him the quiet when it happens. (((hugs))) for you too.

Wow! I feel inadequate! I can't get all that done on a good day...After working all day (ok...I know I've been posting all afternoon...what they don't know won't hurt them right?) cooking, and bathing kids (kitchen is still a disaster! and husband is still in bed-he works midnight shift as a police officer) I managed to do a tote bag for my assistant principal...my poor kids!

ha- NOTHING!!!
I have been out on the go ALL day. Drop off my middle at school- then to the doctors with my oldest, then to her school for the Thanksgiving feast. Then to Wal Mart for a few things, then picked my middle up at school. Went home, feed the kids lunch, changed diapers and off to the dealership to drop off my car (YES it is too new to be in the shop like it is) then to the bank, then to Babies R's Us to make a return. Came home, steamed cleaned the carpets on the main floor, cooked dinner, feed the kids, gave all 3 a bath, changed my cloths and off to the store to drop off my oldest prescription, then to the neighbors house for the Woman's Club party- left a little early to pick up the meds before they closed. NOW....finally I can sit and get online.
HA- if you made it this far on my long list...breathe. My head is still spinning.

I have days like this almost every day so why do I always feel like I have not gotten ANYTHING accomplished?

B Joyed - loved seeing the picture of you and your girls! I'm trying to teach my youngest daughter how to sew. She loves doing all sorts of craft things but so far I haven't really had time to sit down and show her how to sew.

Congrats on the job, Sassy!
The other day we had 3 generations all sewing together. Here is a picture of my daughter and granddaughter and I showing off Gd's first project ! She sewed herself (age 5) a blanket for her dolly !!

That was fun :) We live in different states so these gatherings are presious to us all. It is so nice to have something like this that we all enjoy :)
I love that! it is fun to teach and help younger ones learn to sew!!
As for me, I played with a bunch of designs while I monogrammed 4 towels. Nothing really excited, but just orders from my grandma, :).

I made a "Toy Tote" for my grand niece the other day. I have ideas, but embroidering itself is kind of a chore for me. I like the creating part much better.
I am truly impressed with this thread. I have never completed a project in one day-:o , and applaude all those who can.
I have a lot of partially completed projects- that remain partially completed. Luckily for me my DH does not complain about all the "projects" I have hanging around. I think I have attention deficit issues;) ...???
So who is going to spill the beans on their secret first?

As Christmas approaches, I'm so glad that I'm able to have 2 machines. While I was making a table scarf for a client, I embroidered another HO HO HO towel using the candy cane alphabet. I love being able to multi-task. :)

I wonder if I could use this example to swing a 2nd machine from the Hubby, for Christmas???
Maybe I would have less unfinished projects.??? ;) ;)

I am working on a Grinch shirt for myself. I also hemmed hubby and daughters pants. I have a deer tail that I need to make for my niece. She is going to be a reindeer for their Christmas party at her church.

This sums up my thoughts too. I wish I could get at least one of the projects completed.
After working all day, getting homework, baths and children to bed- yeah- not much time left to start, much less complete a project in a day. :o
geez...and I was feeling proud of myself for getting a sweatshirt embroidered for my neice..some of you guys just plow right through projects! Oh and I did clean up my sewing room quite a bit today too.

Nothing so far today... I have been sick, and my DH will not let me out of the bed, so that is why I decided to try out this forum thing.
