I made the quilt in a cup. My brother in law was killed a few months ago. So I took his clothes and picture and made the cup for my sister in law for Christmas. I also made a quilt out of his clothes for his mom and dad.

It was so easy to make. I like how it turned out. The lady who make them is this forum, but I forgot her name. I hope she make a quilt in a " coffee" cup one day.

I have to say, first, that I am honored to have my Quilt in a Cup be a small part of the tribute to your brother-in-law. What an incredibly thoughtful gesture to the family. I am truly sorry for your loss.

In response to those of you who were asking where to get the cup kits, I would first ask your local fabric/quilt shop if they already handle the kits. If not, I would be happy to have you order them from my brand spanking new website: www.quiltinacup.com Thanks for the interest and inquiries. Hope all of you have a lovely Thanksgiving.

I just had to look and see what a quilt in a cup was. I thought it was like a kit or something, but this is a nice idea.

I love this ideal. When i lost my son 4/07 a girl at my work told me that her uncle makes quilts out of shirts and that if i wanted her uncle to make me one he would , But i don't have the heart of tearing his his beloved Ecko shirts up. But i do love this ideal with the cup.
