As the start of the new school year rapidly approaches I'm going to make napmat covers for my 2 in daycare...has anyone made any? I'm thinking of just making an envelope stle pillowcase type cover with velcro to hold in the mapmat...just wondering if anyone has made one and if there are any secrets or things I ned to take into consideration when making one? Thanks

That is an awesome idea! I am thinking the envelope style would work wonderfully. You could embroider their names and be able to take it off and wash it, too.

yes that is my intention...I'm going to make a travel pillow size pillow case and use a small fleece or flannel blanket to match the material I end up using

Cute idea. I haven't ever done a napmat, but I immediately thought of looking on etsy to see what kinds of things people were doing. Here's what I found. (http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_type=tag_title&search_query=napmat) Good luck!

Thanks Jami for the links...that reminds me of a fabric at my local retailer...Dick and Jane ...I think it is Michael Miller and they have the 50's kid cowboys too....I must get to creating....those on esty were stunning! but pricey!!! glad I have a machine and can sew it myself! I bet Jennifer and Sherri can whip up some beauties to sell!

I made a cover for the exercise mat at my chiropractor's and that is what I did. I made it out of denim. You could also put a zipper on a short end instead of velcro.
