Just new to embroidery

I have only just bought an embroidery machine and this is one of the first sites I visited. Great designs and wonderful freebies. In searching of some freebies I found some packages I couldn't resist - ended up buying four packs! I am sure this will be be a site I will be back to over and over. Keep up the great work.

Welcome Piglet! You are going to have a lot of fun using all those designs. What kind of machine did you buy? Have you already taken classes to learn your machine and all about stabilizers? Or did you not buy the machine from a dealer where you get owners classes? Holler if you need any help because we're all here to help each other. If you have any problems just post an I'm sure someone will be around to give you some ideas how to fix whatever you might be having a problem with.

Have fun. The monthly contest is something you might want to think of entering if you get something made in time. There is a new one each month and the only requirements are that you must use only Embroidables designs on the item you enter into the contest. Well there is another rule kind of and that's the fact there are only 10 entries allowed each month and then the contest will be closed until the following month.

Hi all,I also just bought a used Bernia Artista 185 with the embroidery unit. I have been searching many of the emb. sites, just found this one today. I like what I see. My machine uses a serial connection cable to transfer designs from the computer to the machine. I ordered it from Bernina and I'm waiting for it to arrive and to try out before I buy any designs. Can't wait!:)
I'm open to any suggestions you have.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will love being here. Once you get the cable post back with any specific questions you might have and hopefully there will be someone else who uses that same type of thing and an help you out.

I just love the designs from Jami, they stitch out so good. I credit the ladies on the site for helping me to expand my skills and to get brave enough to try new things.
