Hi, Everyone! I need some inspiration from all of you creative embroidery experts. I would love some ideas for cute Halloween projects - especially for my daughter's birthday party (she will be 4) in October. I always love to do something fun and embroidered for the kids treats/party favors for coming to her party. She had her first Halloween party last year and I did the small treat bags that used to be pictured on the embroidables project site. I wouldn't mind doing a cute trick or treat bag or any other fun ideas that you all may have. Thanks so much for your help!!! Pictures are always good too! :D
Thanks so much!!

Maybe along with the treat bags, you could embroider some lollipop covers and sew them up real easy. You could do a sweatshirt for your daughter to wear in the month of October and at her birthday party. You could also do a runner for her party table with a theme to use in October.

Don't know if you've tried embroidering on paper, but you may could embroider the kids names and pumpkins, etc. and make party hats. If you play games at the party then you could have a shirt already embroidered to give to the winners of the games and they could wear them during the rest of the party.

Ahhh, Halloween...one of my very favorite Holidays. Here's another idea (http://www.embroidables.com/store.php?page=Project&ProjectID=33)from our Inspirations page (http://www.embroidables.com/store.php?page=inspirations). I love the Simply Stitches designs as they are so quick and easy to embroider. They can be done on either paper or fabric...very versatile. One of my favorite places to find inspiration for craft projects is Etsy.com. Good luck and we'd love to see what you come up with!!!

Thank you all for your ideas...I especially like the table runner and party hat ideas. I had not thought of the party hats...I have embroidered on kiwi paper and am actually starting to sell it. I just sold a few bundles on ebay and am about to have my own website up. It will be www.lollypopembroidery.com. I'll be selling the paper as well as several items using the paper. Be sure to check it out in a few weeks - I'll have around 100 unique and fun patterns and will be running a grand-opening sale. And Jami, I also love the simply stitches designs...they're too cute! And they'll look really good on the kiwi paper. I'm going to have a section on my website for customer creations using the paper, so I'll have to make some things using the simply stitches designs (and I'll be sure to send people to the embroidables site to purchase them).:) Thanks again, everyone! Keep the ideas coming! My 1 year old son's birthday is in October as well, so we'll be having many Halloween parties in the years to come and I'll need all the ideas I can get!

Good question. I'm not the one who actually made them, but I believe she used patterned scrapbook paper and folded it in such a way that they made little bags. I'll see if I have a close up picture of it and post it if I do.

I can't find another picture of those specifically, but I did find the goody bags that were previously mentioned.

These are the bags that I made last year for my daughter's party...the only difference was that I put each child's name on it. They loved them! Most of the kids were around 3 years old so the little bags were a perfect size. Thanks for posting the picture again!

Yes, that is felt, Cindy. As far as any tricks to using felt...not really. It's one of the easiest most forgiving fabrics to embroider on.
Have fun!

Anyone working on Halloween projects? I am going to make a purse this weekend with my first Dolly Mama. I have tons of October clothes so a purse to match is the perfect present from me to me.

Those bags are really precious. Has anyone seen a pattern for witchs' legs? I've seen them @ craft fairs and they're fun to have sticking out from under the couch or a chair.....

I can't find the post where someone was looking for a pattern for the legs that hang out of dresser drawers. I found one in the Simplicity book. Pattern number is 3642. Simplicity has a website that you can look up some of their patterns if you want to take a look. I couldn't get a link to post.

I know a bunch of little ones that will love little bags like these. Such a cute idea. I don't think I can make them in time this year, I'll have to remember this for next year.
