First you need to look at its construction. If you can't get the hoop in the purse, you cannot sew on it. If you can hoop it or attach it to sticky paper then your fine. With a commercial machine, which I own, it is much easier. Your font will most likely be smaller than what you wanted. I usually attach them to sticky paper and then just place it on the machine and use binder clips to hold it in place. If you can remove your "table" or the part of the machine that would let you sew sleeves you are going to be able to do this easier.

Thanks but I can't get in on hoop. Can I patch somehow?

If you can't "undo" the construction enough to embroider on it, sure you can do a patch method. For patches, I usually embroider on a wash away stabilizer and organza (or something lightweight and sheer). Then I use a stencil burner to seal the edges. I believe Floriani has come out with a stabilizer they use for patches, but I'm not positive to the details of it.
Good luck!
