What song was number one on your 18th birthday?: The number 1 chart topping song on your 18th birthday is said to be your life's theme song (pretend it is, it's funnier that way). Go to the link below and type in the month, day and year on which your 18th birthday fell...

REMEMBER: Enter the date of your 18th birthday NOT the year you were born.

:D We used to sing this song when someone was paging us. Remember pagers? Seems like ancient history now...

Mine was "Waterfalls" by TLC and that could be my theme song too...
"Don't go chasing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to, I know that you're gonna have it your way or nothing at all..."

My real theme song as named by Lila, my sister is: One Headlight - that will always be my theme song.

Stephen's birthday song is:
You’re So Vain - Carly Simon

Baby Stephen's birthday song is:
Promiscuous - Nelly Furtado & Timbaland
Now that really makes me feel old.. that was a year ago and I don't remember it....

Physical - Olivia Newton John. Oh man - am I old or what? And how I wanted leg warmers and a big fluffy headband, but we did not have money for all my wants. Guess my mom was right when she said being poor was not all that bad. Just think --- I don't have any pictures of me in leg warmers and a head band.

wow, what a bummer! aquarius

so then i looked for following years. right around that date there were some good ones. but YUCK . obviously some sort of spring warp i april! finally found one that was ok.

just me. i loved leonard cohen, bob dylan, gordon lightfoot, james taylor (love his "how's the world treating you" with alison krauss a year or 2 ? ago) the doors, eagles, neil young. hmm who else?
really loved leonard cohen. he's the one whose songs i sang with my acoustic guitar. mostly. and gordon lightfoot.
now josh groban and alison krauss hands down favorites.

one year for my birthday was roberta flack, first time ever i saw your face. that was good. in fact i found a celine dion version on youtube that is seductive and stunning. found it by looking for josh groban. this video was actually all shots of him in concert with celine singing 'first time'. not a groupie but rather enjoyed the show and the song. got it from iTunes!

just a folk or funky kinda girl. with some *good* rock thrown in. loved jimi hendrix and his screamin' guitar!

Totally off the topic of this thread but OMG LOVE Josh Groban! He's just awesome. Hubby and I saw his 1st tour a few years ago twice in two weeks; once in Chicago and also in Milwaukee. At one of the showswe also attended the Grobanite Get Together. We had a blast. A few members from the band came to talk to all of us but couldn't stay long since it was getting close to showtime. My husband also got THE most awesome picture of Josh at the concert. I love this picture too.

He's AMAZING in concert. I cried while listening to him and then sat in amazement at his voice.

Here's a picture of my hubby with Tarique (think that's spelled right), lead guitar when he stopped into the Grobanite get together before the concert.

Here are more pics from that gtg (http://terpstra.us/images/miljosh/)if you want to see. I'll be back with my favorite picture Curt took at the concert once I find it. He had to remove them from our website when we found other people were using his pictures BUT they may just have been moved on the site and I haven't found it yet.

ETA: HA! Silly me ~ the pics are below the gtg pics on the link above but here's one of my favorite pics he took that night. You'll see the other favorite just above this one on the site

Thanks. My husband really would LOVE to do professional photography. He's been taking pics for over 25 yrs now and I bought him the Canon EOS 10D camera when that was THE top of the line of amatuer cameras. Now they don't even make this one any longer. Then I bought him the stuff to create a photo studio such as the lighting and umbrellas etc. The only thing he doesn't have yet is the backdrops. Of course, we bought muslin already and will be dying that for the colors he wants when the weather warms up and then he's all set. I'm telling you, those lenses for his camera are NOT cheap. He's got way too many now but he drools over even more. WE got me a matching camera to his but I use automatic shooting mode where he knows what to do and shoots manual using the adjustments on the camera and shoots pics in what is referred to as RAW. Do not ask me anything about RAW because I don't have a clue but I do know a quick comparison to describe would be that when taking pics with a digital camera you can download them and upload to the web immediately. RAW mode requires one to "develop" the pictures in fancy expensive software. I'll stick to auto shoot and be happy knowing my sewing machine and playing with that instead. :D

I have, as you can see in those pics, a lot of those buttons somewhere. It might make you cringe a little BUT I MIGHT have thrown them out when I was in one of my heavy cleaning modes. If by chance I didn't toss them and run across them, I'll let you know. You can't have my Llama though. He is so soft and squishy. I doubt that we'll go see him again though. It was great fun but I'd much rather go see Celine Dion who is on tour this summer. Did you click the home page link on the page you saw the pics from Josh's concert? There you can see the pics my hubby took when we saw Kenny Rogers too. Those are really cool and it was so funny at that concert because we were in the 2nd row left of center stage. Kenny spotted my husband and gave him a look as if to say "hi" and I'm almost positive Kenny thought my husband was some kind of pro photographer for some news media somewhere because he had the super fancy lens on his camera so he could shoot in the dark without flash. At one point during the concert (and many other times too) Kenny kept doing a lot of the singing on our end of the stage but one in particular he sang about half of the song while looking toward my husband to allow a multitude of photo ops. It was too funny but he did get some great pics during that song. That is really the only link active on the site now because of some copyright issues we had in finding his pictures being used elsewhere without his permission.

I'll shut up now. :D
