Fringed Designs

I want to make some pom poms and I have seen some designs that you cut the bobbin threads to make fringe. Anybody know how to do it?

Speaking of this design idea. I did this for my niece a few months ago and I have to do another this weekend. I have completely forgotten how to do it! I was just hoping that the lady I bought the design from has directions. Good luck!

You turn the design over after stitching it and snip the bobbin thread. They sew so that the bobbin threads should be easy to cut. I usually have to gently pull the fringe out from the back once the threads are cut. Then you can also see if you've missed any bobbin threads. Good luck!

I have done these designs a few times and had mixed success. Anpola's directions are basically what I did - however, I found some designs worked really well and then others were very difficult. My advice would be to buy from a reputable source that you have already had success with. While this should be easy it isn't always.
