Does anyone have any gift ideas for brides and grooms other than monogrammed towels? I was thinking of baseball caps with "Bride" and "Groom" embroidered on each and also cosmetic bags for the bride.
Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Hi NC .....my son just got married and one of the guest got an 8X10 picture of them and put it into a 11X13 frame with a big matting and all the guest signed the matting........it came out very nice.
I did t-shirts for the wedding party bride, groom, maid of honor, bestman, mother of the bride and so on for the jack and jill.

Rather than monogrammed towels, what if you created a very nice monogram and some type of frame/flowers/hearts or something around it and stitched it only some fabric that could be framed. If you used a fabric that can allow their guests to write messages or something to the bride and groom then you could put it into the frame, leaving the glass out so it looks nice and provide fabric markers so everyone could sign their names and write something to the couple. Then after the reception they could replace the glass into the frame and hang that on their wall.

I, too, am looking for wedding themed ideas. We're going to a wedding for a cousin in October and I always like to give a little something that is homemade. I was thinking of a shopping bag with a pocket embroidered with their new monogram, and maybe some of the "Wedding" designs around the outside. I'll just have to mull it over for a few days. I'm still working on my jacket and skirt that I'll wear.

You could do some items for the holidays! They would definitely love some stockings with their names embroidered on them or a tree skirt to match those stockings. Maybe even use some of Jami's new Christmas designs on it!:D Just think of some items they might use at the holidays that you could put their name on. I have seen Christmas card holders that could be embroidered. You could probably even make one of those. If I ever get around to it, I have a bridesmaid dress from our best friends' wedding 3 years ago that I wanted to make stockings and a tree skirt for them out of. Where does our time go??

I love the shopping bag idea! Everyone is so "green" these days that would be really cool!
Towels set too common? Then Ring pillow? And also this Guest Pen Holder + Guest BOok to sign etc. But they are supposed to be there earlier than u and other guests? hehe

I love your idea to make stockings out of old bridesmaid dresses. I have about 5 of them and no idea what to do with them! Great idea!

What a neat idea about the bridesmaid dresses and the christmas stockings. I am loaded with bridesmaid dresses, I have three daughters and they were all three in numerous weddings. My spare bedroom closet looks like the one in the movie, Twelve Dresses. You know the dresses are horrid but the material is beautiful. What else can you do with them.

Maybe make some kind of bag for jewelry when you travel and maybe a matching bag for your lingerie or delicates to travel in.

It may be a little to late since the original post was almost a month ago, but what about a monogrammed blanket? We received a knitted blanket with our last name and wedding date for a wedding gift and we love it. I have since made a set of his and hers couch blankets with name and wedding date and a little saying on each. I just bought 2 really nice heavy fleece blankets and embroidered directly on them. Jami has some great wedding designs on her site that would add a great touch.
