I'm getting ready to do an Open House with my embroidered items but I need a way to show customers all of my available designs. (I just have way too many!) I'd love any ideas you may have!!

If you have Embird, you can print out a catalog of your designs. I haven't tried it yet, but I saw that as an option somewhere on there.

Sherri, you're a genius! I don't have Embird but do have Bernina DesignerPlus. I've never used the Portfolio program in my software but just looked and I can not only print a catalog of designs but I can also publish the catalog for web browsing so I can put them on my website. Yay!

Wow - does anyone know if the Viking software does this. I wouldn't mind it even for myself. It's easy to forget what you have when its in so many folders.

I agree with you Susan. I've got so many folders and forget which folder I put certain designs. I would love a catalog also. Vicki - Do you know the answer to this one?

Yes the 3D and 4D does this. Go into Organizer and then use your "Help" at the top of the screen. When that opens look down the choices for Creating an HTML catalog or something like that. It works really well. I did that when I had 3D all the time but haven't since upgrading to 4D. It will create an online catalog and if I'm not mistaken you can print that out also.

Ha! You're hysterical! My teenagers and my students remind me every day just how not smart I really am! Glad to know you could print your designs off with your program. Best of luck with your Open House!

Just a warning on this Lisa. Because copyrights are so incredibly complex and touchy by putting up anything from your software you could be violating a copyright because you would be showing the digitizers design. You're better off doing the stitchouts and using those on your website. At least get some opinions from other digitizers, starting with Jami what their feelings about this would be. Some of the designs you have in your software have restrictions of not allowing to use on items for sale so you'd have to be sure also that you didn't have those in the catalog.

Does anyone know if PES sofware will do that? Haven't been able to figure it out.

I just take pictures of everything I make and put them in a notebook/scrapbook to show everyone. Different sections for different topics... baby, sports... I end up using mostly Embroidables designs anyway. :D

Yes...please tell me if there is a way to do it in PE-Design that I have not seen? I would love to do a catalog. If PE-Design can't, does anyone know another way to do it?
Hugs,
Shanda
Neat idea, I hope to be able to do this at some stage!!!
I started to organize my designs lastnight, ugh! LOL

Thank You Vicki, I just went in and opened my 3D organizer and I am able to click on each folder to see what's in there. May not be able to take lessons but, I am learning a lot of this group.

Judie...I saw your Dolly Mama's in the contest and the lettering looks perfect. I just stitched my first Dolly Mama and I am very disappointed becasue you can't read the sign. Maybe it is my machine but the jump stitches run into the letters and some of the letters didn't even stitch. How did you clean yours up so good?

I like the picture idea too. I often don't get around to taking pictures of things...I get too busy getting things out. I like that idea.

Donna, I had very few jump stitches when I stitched these out. So far I have made 6 T-shirts with the Dolly Mamas designs that I have bought and the sayings have came out perfect on each one. I used my small embroidery sissors to clip the jump stitches between the letters. All of the letters stitched out great for me.
Maybe try again on some scraps and see how it goes. My biggest fear was the applique since this was the first doing applique.
