Sorry I uploaded the picture but its in cyberspace somewhere. I don't know what went wrong. It says that the picture was too large, when I went back, but its smaller than the jpg is allowed. ????? Help!!!

I think I finally got it. This is for my first granddaughter who is now 15 mos. Have smocked quite a few dresses for her. After 3 sons and 5 grandsons what a joy to sew for a little girl.

Thank you so much. Smocking is not hard at all just time consuming. The most difficult part of the whole process is sewing up what you have smocked. Sewing up smocked garments is a little different than regular patterns and you have to learn a few things over again but I love it.

My machine dealer offers classes on smocking on the embroidery machine in the hoop. I haven't taken this class yet, but I plan to. The garments they've smocked have turned out beautifully. For those that don't have the patience to do it by hand, this may be a fun alternative for you to try.

The dress is darling! Take pictures with her in it, and make a frame using the Embroidables Halloween designs!

I remember my grandmother making me smocked dresses. She didn't have a pleater, just tucked it by hand (can you imagine).
This is a very lucky little girl, hope her Mom knows it.

Wow that is so pretty!! I'm not sure I would have the patience (or the time with two little ones) to do something like that.
