I have only had Brother machines. I have not had any classes either for help.
My very first was the PE150. It was great to learn on.
I upgraded to the PC6500. Very user friendly. Still have it- love it!
I also have the Innovis 1500D-LOVE it!!!

I've got 2 Brothers...ULT2001 and 4000D. I love them both and have had no problems with either. Haven't had any other brand of embroidery machine to compare to.

PLEASE TELL ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ULT2001(I HAVE ONE) AND 4000D. I WOULD LIKE VERY MUCH TO KNOW!!!!!!!!

I think you shop around and find a machine that you are comfortable using. if it's not user friendly to you, you probably won't stitch much with it.

I have a Janome 350e and I am very happy with it. I hope to move to a bigger machine next year, maybe one more geared for a home embroidery business?

I don't do a lot of embroidery with more than six colors anyway, would you need a bigger machine? Do the bigger machines do alot more than the pr600? That is the one they were trying to show me last week when I was looking into the bigger machine.

JMHO, but I think Brother's are the best,,,they are so user friendly...I also have a viking designer SE that I have not had a problem learning to use,,it has some features that I like that the brother doesn't have....
More than the machine,,,it's the dealer that you need to worry about...Your machine is only as good as your dealer...I'm sure you've heard that already.
