What a lovely idea...I am thinking about having a Sit and Sip for a friend that just had boy #3 and I know the guest would love having one of these to take with them after the visit! You could even put mints or chocolates in them (wrapped ones of course!).

You could put bath beads in there too...that would be a nice surprise..you could use them for several different things too...just adjust the monogram to reflect what you are doing...I bet a dolly mama would be cute for a bachelorette party!

A very cute idea, but I would suggest that the poor new mother isn't going to have time to make these up, and it would be a nice thing for one of her embroidering friends to make up in bulk for her.

I also like the idea for a childrens birthday party with possibly putting their name on it for a goodie bag.

This list is full of ideas!

Those are awesome. Did you make the Sachet? Doesn't look too tough.
I bet a baby powder scent would be great for boy or girl.

Luciana always makes such pretty baby things(she has other postings). They seem more elegant too. They are not "old fashioned" in a bad way,but reminds me of a little "baby trousseau" with such nice items that do not always get thought about but easily become family heirlooms.

Isn't that little overall design just the most perfect. I need to use it for some things for my little one.

I wish the guest list at my son's upcoming wedding was much smaller. Wouldn't this be just great for wedding favors. But, no, I'm not making 200+ of them as I am making a quilt for them, am making the bridal gown (including the 25-foot train), and several other favors. Ugh.

NJMo,
You sure are busy. I just finished a king size quilt for DD's wedding( actually 1st year anniversary). DS is getting married March 1st. I might look into this for the rehearsal dinner. I can't believe you are making the bridal gown also. You must be exhausted.

Actually, I love making wedding things. I have only one child (and he is a him) so I did not think I would get to do any of this. My future dil is from a non-crafting family so she seems to be impressed with everything I make. I did not know, however, she would take me to heart when I said "Don't worry; you can have whatever you want. I can make anything." :-) I'll post a picture of the dress after its final fitting. It is white satin with hot pink trim and a detachable 25-foot train with pink underlining. When she walks, she will be silhouetted by hot pink. Wild, but extremely striking. I work full-time so I have to squeeze in everything in the evenings and the weekends.
