Just wanting to start "early" on some Christmas cooking. Does anyone know if you can freeze fudge? BTW I saw a recipe today for strawberry fudge--not yet sure what I think about that one.

Must be the year for strange fudge recipies. I saw one that you make from a roll of sugar cookie dough.

You can freeze fudge, BUT, it needs to be thawed and then kept in the refrigerator afterward because it sweats badly once thawed. You'd be better off this close to Christmas in making it and storing it in the refrigerator or even just boxing it up to store in an airtight container.
Also, if you haven't seen the thread I created awhile back, there are some excellent tasting and easy fudge recipes there.

How funny. When I read that, my first thought--out loud was yuck. Different strokes for different folks, huh?

Actually, I've had many different flavors of fudge and I haven't met one that I haven't liked yet. All from this place: www.nauvoofudge.com. However, I've never actually tried strawberry fudge because I don't like strawberries, but I have no doubt that it's good if you like strawberries.
Would freezing peppermint bark be the same story?

I wish that I could say that I make fudge, but I just eat it. I know that there are many more fudge flavors available from the link I sent.

Here are the Pillsbury links for the sugar cookie dough fudge and a $1 off coupon for the cookie dough. I haven't made it yet but it is on my Sunday night supper menu for desert.
