For those that have been doing this a while, I just wonder if you work on Christmas things year round to sell-I'd think you'd have to in order to have enough for craft shows, open houses, etc. It's pretty late now, but I thought I might hit the sales afterwards and just work on a few things throughout the year.
I finished my last set of towels tonight, thank goodness, I'm tired of towels, and I will have time to make a couple of pillows and that's it for my gifts this year.:nurse:

I have tried to do this for several years! Somehow tho, even if I have good intentions, I keep putting it off until the "next Month" and somehow it winds up being December again!!!!

I always INTEND to work on projects throughout the year, but somehow, my machine sits after the holidays, because it's not fun anymore. By the time I get interested again, it's March, and Christmas seems so far away, so I never get going before fall.

Yep, that's exactly what I do until about November. Then in Nov I start thinking "next week" and then about the week before Christmas I start sewing like a mad-woman. Well, usually. The mad-woman attitude hasn't struck yet this year so it could be Christmas Eve this year. :p

Well I have told you all about me waiting until 12/19/08 to shop for all my Christmas. I was thinking we could do a "Slacker" badge for the one that waits until last to start. I do hope someone else is less prepared than me. Ha ha.

I still have to buy, and make gifts. It will be a busy weekend. Knowing me I will still be stiching things out Christmas Eve.

Yep, that's pretty much me BUT, I also need to get a grocery list done and really REALLY should get out somehow and buy a turkey or we'll be eating chicken on Christmas. HA OR frozen turkey drumsticks.
Of course after the foot of snow/sleet last night we're under another winter storm watch for another 4-7 inches of snow by tomorrow night. UGH AND another storm come Tuesday which doesn't please me since I'm supposed to be driving that day to pick a kid up and it's about a four hour + round trip on good roads. I'm not looking forward to that at all. nope.

I just have a few things left to do. I have bought gifts and have just a few items left to embroider. Had planned to finish this weekend and also to start baking, however; hubby had surgery on his other arm on Thurs. and we just came home yesterday. School was also out on Fri.,so will have grands next week before Christmas. He can't use his arm so I am being his extra arm and hand for awhile. I did buy a few groceries today but have NO IDEA what I am going to fix for my family of 18 on Christmas Eve night. Don't really want to do the turkey and ham thing again since I did it all on Thanksgiving. We have to go back to the Doctor on Monday for him to check hubby and the drive is 2 - 1/2 hours one way. So that really rules out Monday. Oh Well - what gets done - gets done - what doesn't - won't.
Vicki - I would love to see a picture of the snow outside!!!! It was 77 degrees here today. I had the air on for a while this afternoon. Just send a little cold air this way!!!!!!!!

I think since you'll be gone some of Monday I'd prepare a big pan or two of lasagna this weekend and then cover it up for the day your family comes. Pull those pans out of the fridge, bake them up fresh and they'll never know you didn't slave for days making that. HA You can make some salads or veggies and big loaves of yummy garlic bread and dessert and have it all done ahead of time.
I had posted some pictures for you here but decided to move them over to their own thread and out of this one where it didn't belong.
You can find it here. (http://www.embroidables.com/forums/showthread.php?p=26234#post26234)
