Love the burp cloth, of course until last year when the kitchen got a face lift I was on a COW kick lol. What font did you use for the name?

The quilt is beautiful and I know that little guy loved it.

The stocking is beautiful also.

Everyone keeps me inspired here, one of the reasons I love this board.

I used the Giddyup font from my Lettering Pro software.

I used the Giddyup font from my Lettering Pro software.

Is that the program that came with your machine or something extra that you bought?

I really like that font lol

Lettering Pro was something extra. It is a software program from Amazing designs.

The month is almost over! Where is everyone? What happens if there aren't 10 entries?

StitchinGrandma
01-20-2009, 05:54 PM
Oh now, there's still 10 days left this month. There were a few other months and when there aren't the 10 entries the contest will still be closed. Those who had entered will just have a better chance is all. I had hoped to get something entered and started working on that but things came up where I was not able to concentrate and finish it. Hopefully there will be a few more entries in the next few days.

January has been such a busy month for everyone - just getting over Christmas, etc. Maybe future months will be a little better. I know that I SURE haven't had the time!

I love the frog towel wrap! It is darling.

I really like the frog designs. It was the first set I wanted to buy
but I ended up with My Mind's Eye - On the Farm set.
I think it will be my next set.

Thank you. I think this was one of the sets that I bought during the 12 days of Christmas sale.
I have a friend that love frogs too, so I am going to make her a towel or something with the frogs on it.

I really love the frog wrap. I have wanted to make the 6 girls a shower wrap for quite some time now. I had planned to get them done before Christmas - well, the towels are still sitting here on my shelf!!~I am a little scared to get started because I'm not sure what I'm doing, Some of the girls here gave me pointers but I'm still scared!!!

Thanks she loves it. They really aren't that hard to make. If you need any help let me know. The one I did for Benjamin was the first one I ever made. I figured out what I was doing as I was making it and then once it was finished,I then knew the steps to do it much easier lol.

Let me know if this helps or I can take pictures and post when I make another one..... Judie

1. did the front designs

2. made the casing for the elastic, I used 3/4 inch non roll so I made the casing just a little over an inch.

3. I did learn and will do the next time is to attach the velcro before putting elastic through. Once I got the elastic through I wrapped it around Benjamin to figure out how much elastic to have, then I pinned the elastic down and seamed it closed.

4 I found velcro that you can iron down and it's suppose to get stronger hold with each washing its a little more expensive, but for children you could probably get three wraps out of it. So once I did get the elastic in I measured where I wanted and how much velcro I would need. Then ironed it down. It was a pain with the elastic already in, that's why you may want to get the measurement of the elastic take it out and then add velcro, then put the elastic back in.

4. Put design on the back.

Judie,
did you start off with a LARGE bath towel. And did you have to cut it at all.

Judie,

I started out with a towel for Benjamin that was 32 x 54 of course for him it fits under his arms and touches the floor, he's almost 4. The ones I am making for the ladies I am using the 35X68 bath sheets.

Artsiegirl,

You make everything look so effortless. What a great outfit. I have a little boy and that is too cute. I hate to be stupid but how do you make the pants reversible? I know how to make just regular pants ,but have never made them reversible.

Wish I had your skill and imagination! WOW! Thanks for the ideas though and keep them coming.
thanks

Thanks so much April. These pants actually are pretty much effortless. I simply stitched the pants as usual up to the hem and casing for elastic. At that point, I pressed under the hem allowance and casing allowance on both pair. Turn one pair inside-out and place inside the other pair. Top stitch around the hem. Top stitch all the way around about 1 inch down from the top and then again about 1/4 inch leaving an opening in this stitching line to run elastic. After inserting elastic, top stitch the opening closed. Hope that makes sense!
