While I realize many of you are still dealing with lots of snow (we had our share in December), we've been soaking in the sun. Freezing temps still, but I'll take the cold and sun over clouds and rain any day. So, to celebrate the sun in the sky, here's the sun in our life right now...

Hard to believe she's already four months. I miss the newborn stage already and for a split second the other day, I thought...maybe just maybe she won't be our last. Then my eight year old and five year old whining and fighting brought me back to reality real quick. I guess that's why so many people enjoy being grandparents...get to enjoy all the cute, fun times and hand them back to the parents for the not so fun times.

Yes, that is Evan driving a car on Claire. She just loves the attention...can't you tell.;) And the one of her in the purple sweater is actually a month ago. My dear friend, Gail, made that for her. Isn't it darling?:D

How cute! What a beautiful complexion she has. You can tell she used to other children. Mine are like that too.

Wish we had snow. ha ha

How gorgeous! I can't believe how much she has grown (nor how sweetly mischievous Evan looks!) We've been freezing down south (at least freezing for us) but we should hit 70 tomorrow. I'll send some warm wishes to all of you in the colder climates!

70? How would that be? We are happy when we hit 50. I am going to Memphis in a couple weeks and hope to feel some of the warmth.

She's just beautiful, and I know you are having fun. That's the best sunshine I've seen in a while.

She is absolutely adorable! Girls and boys are so different from each other! Jamie, I know you live on the other side of Portland from us, so you have had fog and gray, but I can tell you that the sunshine here is beautiful until you step outside and get blown over by this wind blowing out of the gorge. The sun is just teasing me, because I'd love to go outside, but the wind is biting cold. The good news is that I have crocus just peaking their little green tips out of the ground. Hooray! Spring is coming!

Ah, yes, the wind. I was reminded of it today when I took Evan to the park. From my studio window, it looked delightful outside, but once we got there and sat down for our picnic, us and all of our food was blown away. Evan just kept saying he wanted to go home. So now he's eating his "picnic" at the kitchen island. Burrr...

They are both such beautiful children. Love the picture where she is happily being the road for Evan's car--made me laugh. She actually looks quite happy about it!

Jami - The pictures are absolutely beautiful. She is going to be a knockout! That smile and those eyes are killer!!!!! Evan reminds me of some of my grands. That precious devilish smile and being a little monkey!

I am also going to be in Memphis in a couple of weeks for one of the grands birthday's. We leave on Feb. 6th. and will stay 5 days. What a small world!!!(LOL)

It was 70 degrees here today - I was outside in the sunshine pulling weeds from my flower beds in the back yard. Man it made me want Spring to hurry up so I can plant flowers. I stayed outside for about 3 hours. LOVED IT!!!! Next week , they said if would be in the middle to high 60's all week. I know the cold is coming back but it helps to have a little tease of warm weather to get us through! Maybe I'll see you in Memphis!!:hello:

What sweet pictures. Who knows, when this baby stage is over, you may decide you have to have just one more precious one--I did--4 times.

Too funny...four is a good number for us. If you could guarantee me a sister for her, I might consider it.
