Hi Gals:
I need your help. I need to make a patch for my son and grandson who are in a group called y guides. Where can I go to have a patch made. All I need is the pes format for rectangle patch that is 2 inches high by 8 inches long. Does anyone know where I can go to get a design formatted for something like this so that I can download it to my machine and embroidery it out.:vroam:
Thanks for any help you can give me.

What software do you have for your machine? Have you checked that to see if by chance there are preset shapes you can use to create your own? I have Viking 4D Extra and under the "Shapes" tab you can find a square under "shapes 1" which you can edit yourself into a rectangle. It could be your software already has something for you to use.
There is a rule on this board however that another website for designs can't be posted so anyone knowing where you could find that on another site won't be allowed to post the link to them.

You're welcome Debbie. I SWEAR that has been in my signature since Feb 16th when I removed the Valentines Day one. :D That's pointed directly at me since that's what I've felt like for the past two months with all that I've gone through.

Vicki it right on about the pre-set shapes in your machine. Taking her suggestion one step further....Cut your sized shape out, since there is no die line or tack stitch you will need to secure the shape to the stabalizer with K2000 (spray adhesive). After you have stitched the shape then you stitch the design. Hope this helps.
Patches is all I have been doing lately, just finished doing 100 for the local police department.

wow thanks Lynn. Is there anyway you could either put a picture on or privately email me one. I am trying to make this for my grandson's little troup. I did make one and it was an applique which turned out great, but it was not big enough and where I purchased it from did not have it any bigger.
Thanks so much

Just an FYI ~ Unless the patches she's done are using Embroidables designs she can't post those here as per the rules. Sorry.

Debbie:
I have not done one in that manner, only the process that you could do this. I have a digitizing software that I create the patches. Sending you one would (I think) is against this sites rules. Ooops just read Vicki's response. You know something, you might check here and see if they have a patch design set that you could purchase. It would make it so much easier for you...and everyone uses patches for one thing or another. In my photo scrapbooks that I do, I put a heart shaped patch on the inside cover....which says To: So-in-so From: So-in-so. You will use the patches for many, many things, so the cost would be justified.
