Anyone know where this fabric can be purchased at a reasonable price?
I don't need yards and yards of it, so a few different colors. Thinking maybe 1/2 yard of the colors I would like to have.
Thanks for any help.

Judie,
I get it from my local Fabric shop... like the stuff I used for my baby blocks.
You can also get it at JO-Anns Fabrics and if you are signed up with their newletter that comes in the mail they send you 40% off coupons that you can use with yardage... that saves $$$. I did not check online yet.
Maybe someone else knows a place online that you can order it from.
Love this stuff........... SEW SOFT!

Thanks I am on their mailing list and get coupons all the time. Have two now I need to use lol. I have looked at Joann's and never seem to find it. Guess I need to ask someone that works there where they are hiding it.

I had to ask.. now that you say that, it was in a special place on the wall, not by the baby stuff.

Not sure of their prices, but www.fabric.com has free shipping for orders over $35. I order over there a lot when I need quite a bit of something to get the free shipping. They have good customer service and pretty fast delivery.

Another place you could try is www.etsy.com . If you go to the pull down menu and click on supplies and then put in the description of you fabric. You might find a good deal there.

I have a few sites online bookmarked if you'd like those posted but, they aren't any less expensive than anywhere else. One of them had a different type of minkee that I hadn't seen before. It was called Rose Cuddle and smooth Minkee. Very pretty stuff.

Please post any that you have. I have never made anything from this fabric and may never again once I try it :D, but have a project in mind that I would love to incorporate some of this into.
Thanks for your help Vicki

Here is the one (http://quilters-paradise.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi)that had that new type I'd not seen before. More expensive than others but very cool. Scroll to the bottom and click on "Specialty and Decorative Fabrics" to find the Minkee. They also have their Chenille fabric in that section too. The Rose Cuddle I spoke of will be found on the 3rd page.
GOOD NEWS! This site has Minkee on sale! (http://www.fabric.com/)YAY! Some as little as $10/yd which is not a bad price. When you get to the main page, type "minkee" into the search box and you'll get 150 results to check out. I also used the search box and typed "minky" into there and got 142 results so you might check that spelling out as well.
ETA: I just found an area on that site with all types of this (https://www.fabric.com/creativity-headquarters-baby-blanket-central-minky-fabric.aspx)fabric on one page showing them each. I had NO idea they made Paisly Minky! VERY cool.
I'll check to see if I have others bookmarked and post them later.

I made a scarf with the minkee fabric. I love the fabric but i will never make anything from it again as i had fuzz all over my sewing room.

Ohh yes, I hate the fuzz all over the room! You'd be shocked at how much we pay for minkee over here, $8usd/meter(so just over a yard). It's sooo cheap compared to what I've seen over there! But we don't have such a huge selection, like printed minkee etc.
Definitely look at Etsy.com (my new favourite place).
Oh and rose minkee, is TDF!

I just wanted to add that there is a huge difference in good quality Minkee and the kind they carry at Joann's. The good quality Minkee is so soft and plush you just want to sink your face in it! The Joann's stuff, not so much. I use Minkee all the time and will only use the good stuff. It's so worth the extra cost. Just my two cents...
BTW, Benartex makes true Minkee fabrics. There are a lot of imitators out there so if you order online, be sure to ask about their quality.
