I would like to hear where everyone is from and what kind of machine everyone has!!!

I am from South Carolina. I have a Viking. Love it. I have 2 girls. Married to a highway patrolman. I have a huge family. I am 1 of 7. The last were me and my twin sister.

I am new...I don't have a machine yet. :eek: I have been absorbing information from various forums. I have been borrowing time on a friends machine and feel bold enough to proceed and make a purchase for Christmas.

I am back. I was missing for a while because I got distracted and I also forgot my password and had trouble getting in.

I am from OH, I now have a Janome 300E which I picked up as a 'previously owned' at Barnes...my local dealer. I am starting out...I am very excited. I have so many ideas I can not maintain my focus.!!!

I forgot to add while ago that I am from SouthEast Arkansas and I have a Brothers Innov-is 4000D that I have only had for about 5 months, but so far I love it!!!!

I am a full time student now at SIU - Carbondale...Physical Therapist Assistant Program.

I still do embroidery for my son's school and for the local t shirt shop...
in my not so spare time.

I have a Singer Quantum Futura .... great little starter machine. I've had it 1 1/2 years and I'm ready to move up. :)

I'm from Ottawa, halfway between Chicago and Peoria and in the middle of corn country. I've been sewing since jr. high (many, many years ago :) and found machine embroidery about 7 years ago. Having grandbabies to stitch for is the best! I'm looking forward to learning and sharing on these boards!

I'm from Wisconsin. I have a Brother XL 3500 sewing machine, A Singer Futura C100 embroidery machine, a Brother 1034d serger, and I have a Janome 3050 on layaway at my local sew n vac shop :)

I live near Houston, Texas. My first emb. machine was a Brother. ULT2001 that I still use as backup and mostly for sewing, and the current machine is a Brother INV 4000D. I just bought an Elna 945 serger. For quilt piecing I still prefer my old Singer Featherweights -- I have 6 of them.

Hello everyone! I'm from Lewisville, Texas, which is a northern suburb of Dallas. I have a Janome 9000 and 10001. I do most of my home decor sewing on the 9000 while I let my 10001 embroider.

Isn't it nice to have a machine dedicated to embroidery and another to sew on? I love not having to pull the machine out of the table and add the embroidery unit when I want to embroider. It's also nice to be able to work on 2 things at the same time :)

Oh, I want that soooo bad. I want a machine just to sew on and another to embroidery on so I don't have to change out the unit. JUST PIPE DREAMS!!!

Agreed! I honestly probably wouldn't embroider much at all if I had to use the same machine...
