When doing borders, what's the best way to line them up so that they come out looking 'connected' without overlap or being crooked, whatever? I've never been able to figure that out..

Thanks, Trina M.

I have a border program. The directions say to draw a line down the middle of the section you want to border- or draw the line where you want the border to be "centered" on your project.

My border program has a system that spaces it correctly, so I am not sure how to do that without the program.

When you move your fabric you will need to line the needle up with the line you drew- this will at least keep it in a line- centering it in the hoop.

I don't know if that helps-

Some machines will place an "X" at the end of the design for the next place ment...If they don't do that,,,I stitch part of the starting design on stabilizer and make sure I place my project on that starting point...

Wow that is a great idea! I never thought about stitching it out on stabilizer first.
Thanks for the hint.
