Just curious, is anyone done with their Christmas shopping/sewing yet?

I have to wait until the black friday sales. I am one of those crazies that gets up before dawn to hit the sales. That is when the shopping begins.

My embroidery gifts....well, umm..- how many days until Christmas?

Ha Ha Ha. I haven't even given it much thought. I know of few things I need to make, but the shopping won't happen for a couple of weeks, yet:rolleyes:

I have been getting grief from family and co workers because I start my christmas shopping in the summer. Right now I am almost done. I have a few things to make for some family members and less than 10 items left yet to buy. I already have my two trees up and presents wrapped underneath them.

Oh my goodness, I haven't even started or thought about it....My oldest DD 38 has been battling BC since this time last year...Last week she got word that it is now in the other breast so will require a mastectomy...Her surgery will be next week..All my focus has been on her and trying to uplift her spirits,,,She is so very angry...

I'm sure I will come up with something for the grands, but not too worried about the kids as they are older and get pretty much what they want...and they understand...

When it comes to making Christmas gifts I usually finish for the next year or 2 after it was started. As a quilter my family has learned to expect a quilt top one Christmas and perhaps the finished quilt the following Christmas.

I'm always at a loss as to what to get my single male cousin, but I think this year he'll be getting wine in a nice fabric bag. now to figure out what to do for his father (my uncle).

Well, I always start early because I am in school and I can have classes and finals right up to Dec. 20th and I have very little time to do ANYTHING when class is in session. So if I do not shop early no one gets presents. Luckly this year I took almost all writing classes so they are done earlier so I can make presents for ppl this year...woo-hoo!

Went shopping today and got it all done in one day with the exception of a few small things. Whew!!! So glad it's done. Now starts the wrapping and baking cookies. Oh yeah and we still have to visit Santa so that gift isn't bought yet.

Unfortunately, I still have most of my shopping to do, and must go out and face the crowds. I did buy some blanks a few months ago, so I will have some fun embroidering those.

I usually get a lot of my shopping done on Black Friday, but since I work at a luxury linen store, I had to go into work that morning, so I only got a little bit of shopping done.

I did buy really nice towels to give my children for Christmas.....now all I have to do is get them all monogrammed before the 25th...;)

Ok, that's just wrong! The rest of us are nowhere near being done. Maybe you can shop for the rest of us. :D

I'm glad to see that most everyone else is in the same boat as me. I'm off to do some more shopping.

I am now recieving everything I ordered before Thanksgiving. It looks like we are moving! I have boxes stacked everywhere in my bedroom and closet. My parents both decided to send everything early, too. Their stuff has been coming in the mail. I'm afraid to start wrapping too early because of my 18 month old dd. We call her our piffer. She loves to pilfer!

If you run out of room I'm more than happy to store them here; especially if any are really nice pretty shiny new sewing type things or kitchen items. :D

Sorry, it's all toy stuff. If it were kitchen or sewing stuff it wouldn't be sitting there unopened! I can't stand to have a surprise. I like to open it now!:)

I just ordered DH's gift, that was the last one. It's coming already wrapped so when it gets here I'll be officially finished!
