We are enjoying an extended summer here in the Pacific NW. I'm loving it! Unfortunately, I know fall and the dreaded "R" word is just around the corner. However, these new designs by Deena Rutter will make rainy days in my studio much more bearable.

You have a dreaded "R" word? Would that be rain? I know that dreaded "S" word is coming our way all too soon and do NOT look forward to that at all but, I don't generally dread rain. LOL Well, NORMALLY I don't dread rain but right now I do because we have a very bad leaky roof in our back room and can't fix it right now. :( We are supposed to get rain this entire week every day too. ugh.

If anyone is having the rain as we have had for a week, then you have definitely had RAIN!!!! We have had about 20 inches in the last two weeks (literally). My yard is soggy wet. I wonder where all this rain was back in July?

Yes, we had rain almost daily this past week but nothing like you got thankfully.

Last night I was shocked when the tv weather emergency warning thing broke in with a watch. It happened around 9pm so it was very strange that late at night AND so late in the year but we were put under a tornado watch. Most of the bad weather was North and also East of us so that was a relief for me since I can't sleep when those kind of storms are near us. We had VERY strong winds last night and again today though with gusts up to 50mph.

WE HAD RAIN ALL DAY TODAY... GLOOMY.. would love to see more embroidery designs to brighten my day! :D

COOL! These kind of take me back to the 70's with a couple of 50's flash backs on the side...a dash of folk art, jacobean and retro...all rolled up together...that may not be the original idea, but that's where it takes me...

these also make me think Amy Butler...no one specific print comes to mind, but i know they will go with many of them...

i'm kind of seeing aprons with a matching triangle scarf to tie back tresses while you cook...maybe a casserole carrier to match. and now i am hungry for macaronni and cheese, real homemade mac and cheese.

i actually had kitchen wallpaper in the mid-70's that looked almost like some of those shapes and lines...bright apple green, orange, bold yellow and milk chocolate brown which matched my fridge...gag, what was i thinking...but i still like it when i see old pictures. Guess i am dating myself.

it's nice to have designs with mature application possibilities too, although these would be just as darling on little girl fashions...like maybe on any of several farbenmix patterns i can think of which would look nice with these...the ANNA jumper for instance which is so quick and easy.

these designs should be here any day now...i'm excited!

I've been trying to be a good patient girl.. honest, I have!! but it's been a couple of months since the first tease about this collection (I'm tapping my toe like my 6 yo, lol). Any hopes of getting it in time to do a couple of Christmas gifts stitched out with it?!???

I feel like my 6 yo waiting for Santa :) but all I want for Christmas is Central Rain! I'm trying SO hard to be patient but... is it here yet, is it here yet???

Any possibility we'll have it in time to stitch some things out to put under the three this year?
