I love my babylock, never had any problems with it and have had it now about 3 yrs. Really want a upgraded version, but that may be awhile. I've thought about buying a Brother to sew with while I embroidery on the babylock.

my wife bjoyed has a 14.00 credit on the top of her page and it is burning a hole in her screen !!

I don't blame her one little bit. I have $2.04 and want to get something sooooo bad, but I'm holding out for something BIG!!! Like the Candy cane font and maybe something else (shush, it's a secret, my husband need not know!) ha ha

I know what you guys mean about the credit burning a hole at the top of your screen. I purchased the candy cane alphabet on Wednesday and then used my credit to purchase 2 of the Dolly Mama designs and now I have another credit that I just "HAVE" to use. hehehe
Good thing for me that I have my own business account and my husband doesn't ask what I do with my money.

Thank you to all who answered me regarding the babylock. I will seriously consider getting one.

I'll put in another good word for Babylock. I used Janome for years, but then when I wanted a semi-industrial, I went to the Babylock BMP6 and absolutely love it! See if you can get a demonstration on one of those. It gives you a 200 x 300 mm embroidery field--about 7.75 x 11.75 inches. And it can do caps, too!

Hi All! I thought I would let everybody know that there isn't much time left before Christmas so came up with a couple of quick ideas. Use your Christmas designs and make coasters, use your mini designs and make markers for wine glasses. Quick & easy. Made 5 sets of each yesterday and it really helped get some of the gifts done.

To mark a T-shirt for a design, I could never get it exactly where I wanted it. I decided to take one of my husbands T's and use it to mark where the design should go and wow it worked. Perfect placement and no expensive gadgets to buy.

I saw Sam's post that read 20 more days until Chirstmas and I paniced! Now it's probably evenless than that as her post is older! Thanks for your ideas about the coasters. Do you cover them with a protective cover or anything? Or do you set the glass right on the fabric? Do you have pics to show us?!

Sam

Depending on the type ofcoaster I sometimes use vinyl that you can buy that is sticky to put over them. Some of the coasters have slits in them so you can slide the wine glass in them. I am not sure how to put the pics of these on here but if somebody helps me I will definitely show the pics.

I created a tutorial you can follow to post your pictures. You can find it here (http://www.embroidables.com/forums/showthread.php?t=425).

Then we have two sections to post your pictures in. The rules are that no pics can be posted of anything embrodiery unless it's one you got from Embroidables.

The two threads you can use to post the pictures are below:

To post pics of embroidables and your creations made using those designs can be posted here. That way we have a thread with pics and they won't be buried in the different threads and everyone can see them all quickly. Embroidery projects can be found here (http://www.embroidables.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=3).

Same with other sewing things. Those we have a section to post those pictures. You can find that thread to post all non-embroidery creations here (http://www.embroidables.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11).

Then once you post those pictures in either of those threads, you can tell people which to check and where they can find your creations.

Hopefully that helps. :D Let me know if you need more help.

You're welcome. Happy to help. Have fun and if you need more help you can PM myself or fun2sew (http://www.embroidables.com/forums/member.php?u=1297) who is the other moderator. You can also send a PM to Jami who's the owner of the board. It may be quicker to PM one of the mods though, since Jami is busy creating more stuff we can buy, but she'll still answer you too.

If you don't have sticky vinyl or can't find it you can also get I think it is 404 or 606. I can never remember which is the firm spray. It is like 505 for embroidery but it holds permanently and works well with vinyl.

http://terpstra.us/images/vickiljt/Gifs/Funny/roflol.gif Aren't you funny. HA! I surely didn't make a resolution to do less embroidery. I am hoping to do more and before I went to bed last night I even made that first step in making that possible. I started unsubscribing to the hundreds of yahoo groups I am in. I still have more to do, but those take WAY too much of my day in reading all those emails.

Well of course, considering the other stuff was the reason I came here in the first place for. I was thrilled to find a message board to frequent vs. yahoo groups. I've never really liked yahoo groups but there weren't any other options for the most part. I LOVE the message boards and because I'm so familiar/knowledagble on vbulletin, this felt like "home" to me.

I would guess that Jami or David will let us know when they are all gone but it's easy if you want to check every once in awhile on your own. Just click above where you see "Members List" and then on the page that loads, you want to click on the word, "posts" and it will sort the members list by number of posts from the most to the least. All you have to do is count on that list how many have reached the 100 mark.

HA! Yea, that could be and it's also why *I* am here since I can't afford them yet. :( I'm totally broke until next month IF I can squeeze some money out then.

I don't think you can vote until the contest is full - I think it's supposed to be 10 entries and then they'll open voting.

Are you asking about voting in the contest in which the members enter their creations made with the Embroidables designs each month? Or possibly something else possibly?

Welcome to the board. Hopefully you'll join in and be posting along with the rest of us soon. Don't forget to post pictures of the things you've made with the Embroidables designs. Everyone's projects are neat to see because it gives the rest of us new ideas sometimes or a different way of doing something we already do.

Welcome to the forum Linda. You will be happy you found the Embroidables website and message board. There are a lot of great members here and each of them are more than happy to help the others learn things they aren't sure of doing. Ask if you aren't sure of anything and you will surely see answers to your questions.

It could still be you!

Unless I miscounted there are still 30 members left to reach that number who will get the $25 so you still have an opportunity to be on that list as well.

I don't believe so. The last time I checked was April 23rd and at that time there were 67 members that had reached that number. This also included Jami and David however in that count. It looks like there are 3 more that are very close as of today too.

As long as the questions being asked are about sewing/embroidery then you'll be fine.

The warning about useful contributions came when the announcement was first put out about the credit because we had a few people that were just posting "HI" or stuff like that just to reach the 100 post count.

Giving away store credit to those who have posted 100 messages has been such a big success that we have decided to extend the program beyond the first 100 people and to anyone who posts their 100th message by the end of the year.

Hi Debbie,
Congrats on your 100th post! I noticed you lived in Milledgeville - I'm just a stone's throw away in Warner Robins. In fact, we moved here from Lake Oconee (Buckhead area) just last year. That's super close to you. Do you have a Viking Dealer near you? I noticed you had the SE and D1 - I also have an SE. I get excited to see people close by, so I thought I'd say hello!

Kati - I'm so glad you introduced yourself. If you live in Warner Robins, then you may know of the dealer that I bought my last machine from. It's Sewing Creations in Centerville. I don't particularly like the classes so far, (too crowded & so many people needed computer basics) but the dealer seems to be really nice. I like going to Hobby Lobby there in Warner Robins. Where do you get your fabric? The only place around is Hancock Fabrics in Macon, and it's is not the best place I've ever shopped for good fabrics before. We need a specialty shop around so bad. Glad to chat with you, I also get excited to see people close by. Thanks for taking the time to chat with me.

I'm sure there will be, but never hurts to ask, hint, beg for more lol. Since I have bought the ones I have I think I have used everyone of them once for myself lol. Not to many places that you can find designs that adults can put on t-shirts and these fit me the best lol.

I think I need to change my name to Ms Dolly or Dolly Mama Fan.

Hi,

I am new to this site, although I have used some of embroidables designs. Just by viewing the board I have already found a lot of ideas. Here is to more to come. I have been machine embroidering for over 5 years and still learn new things all the time. I learned to sew on a treadle sewing machine when I was a little girl. I enjoy seeing what projects others created and appreciate any suggestions and hint which will enable me to create more professional projects. Talk to you soon.

Have fun and enjoy the message board. There are a lot of great members here and be sure and check out the contest page where you can post something you have created using Embroidables (only) designs and possibly win credits to buy more designs. Plus Jami allows entries to that contest using her free designs as well. I'm sure you will love it here.
