How much do I charge?....

I have a single neighbor that has taken a job about an hour away and needs me to keep her daughter in the morning for about 30-40 minutes and in the afternoon for about a couple of hours. She is about 7 yrs old and it would not be a bother for me to take on this little girl, but I haven't discussed money with her yet. This woman is not a close friend or anything. What do I charge her?

Most people around here charge $2.00 per hour per child. When I use to babysit I got 50 cents and hour...One little girl I kept in the afternoon for 3 hours every day and made $7.00 a week...

I think the average pay is about 2.50 per hour per kid.
