Does anyone know what "THE" shows are in Vegas right now? I am putting together a little girls weekend for my mom and I this Spring and haven't the faintest clue as to what the best shows are to see. Last I heard it was Celine Dion who I was looking forward to seeing, but then someone told me she's been gone from Vegas for a while. Hahahaha...see how "out of it" I am?!?!?

Give us some clues of things you like. Music? Dancing? Theatre? That would help. My son and dil are going next week. They are seeing a Cirque du Solei show, The Phantom of the Opera and --- I hate to admit this --- Wayne Newton. Brian and his grandmother used to sing along to Wayne Newton tapes when he was a little guy and he has always loved Wayne. Embarrassing to admit as I feel I have failed as a mother, but he just loves it. And he's only 24. :-) And he still knows all the words to Patsy Cline songs. Did I mention his cat was named Sinatra. No hope !!!!

Now THAT is funny! What a cool kid. :)

I like everything (except maybe not Wayne Newton, lol). I have been looking around a bit and it seems the O show by Cirque du Soleil is a good one. I'd like to do at least one more show of a different nature in addition to this.

You'll have to tell me how your son likes his trip.

If this was a few years ago I'd say Celine Dion if you had lots of money. Her show is gone now but I hear may be coming back in the next year or two although now that she's pregnant again, it may be pushed further back.

I think you would probably see a great show too with the Osmonds show that's out there now because they work so well together.
Link to that show (http://www.harrahs.com/EventsDetail.do?locationCode=FLV&detailName=donny-marie-detail&eventTitle=Donny%20and%20Marie) I don't know when that show ends though. I checked the buy tickets page and can't see anything beyond March of next year.

I hadn't thought about the Osmond's. I think my mom would really like them. I was thinking of going in February so that might actually work.

And what in the world? Celine is pregnant again? I really need to stay up to date on this sort of stuff. LOL.

Well, don't be too sad Jami since I just looked for the news and found news about it from her website. :(

She is no longer expecting as reported by a newspaper in Canada last month.
