when you were pregnant? For some reason this conversation fascinates me LOL!

I craved a LOT of various foods, but as soon as I ate them and was satisfied, I *never* wanted to see that food again. Seriously, I wanted a baked potato so badly I cried my eyes out, and after I ate it, I couldn't even SAY the word potato for at least 6 months after delivering ds!

My two biggest cravings (and when I got a craving, it was so intense that I literally cried if I couldn't have it) were bagels with cream cheese, and baloney sandwiches. Even though I normally HATE baloney LOL.
MY dh was gone for two weeks on a trip, and I didn't eat ANYTHING but baloney sandwiches that entire time. It was crazy!

When I was pregnant with my 14yo daughter I craved pancakes and cheesesteaks. I worked in a little shopping center and the owner of out store also owned a little lunch counter in the center as well. I went in there very day for a pancake breakfast and then cheesesteak with ketchup, mayo and fried onions. The gal that worked there swore up and down that DD would be born with a fried onion on her head....LOL

With my son- water. I really didn't crave anything other than freedom from morning sickness. I couldn't stand to have pizza in the house- YUCK

With my daughter- watermelon. I would buy 2 whole melons- one for the family and one for myself. I would generally eat one in 2 days-
My daughter is a huge watermelon fan!

For me, with my first--
It was plain cesear salad in the beginning, and baked potatoes w/ sour cream, butter adn salt and pepper.

With the youngest, it was citrus. I ate citrus all day long.

That is so funny, those two things, water and watermelon , were exactly what I craved. The water with my son and the watermelon with my daughter. I could not stand pork though unless it was bacon, and normally I love pork.

I can remember waking up NEEDING watermelon so I got out of bed, got dressed, and drove to the grocery store. I waited in the the parking lot for 2 hours for the store to open!

I love it...

With my first daughter (she's 3 1/2 now) all I wanted was melons. I ate tons of watermelon, cantalope, and honeydew. I got a melon baller and cleaned 2 of each and a 1/2 a watermelon and put it in a gallon zip lock bag...then I would sit on the sofa with a fork and eat until my heart was content!!!

With #2 (my dear Morgan who is 9 months old!) I wanted Church's Fried Chicken and mashed potatoes. AND NO OTHER CHICKEN WOULD DO!! And if you have never stepped foot in a Church's...walk slow and wear shoes with a good tread! The floor is beyond slippery with grease!!! :)

I also craved citrus all the time when pregnant with my 5 yo. Especially grapefruit which I never liked before and don't like now either. I have a philolsphy that whatever you crave is what the child will like, I have not proven it yet. LOL

Wonder if my mother craved gravel when she was pregnant with me??? She tells me that I used to eat gravel when I was little....she was very concerned and asked my doc about it and he said that I "could have worse vices"....she wondered what other kind of vices I could have at the age of 3 LOL

I heard that craving gravel during pregnancy is a hint that you're in need of minerals - maybe you had a deficiency as a toddler LOL!

I didn't crave much with my last pregnancy. I had a girl so I was pretty much going through the whole "morning" sickness which pretty much lasted all day! Not sure why they call it "morning".
With my son I craved chocolate!

LOL Mabel! My mom thought I was nutso! And we won't even get into my apparent sulphur deficiency around the same time. I used to snatch my daddy's matchbooks and eat the tips off the match heads. The red and white ones tasted better than the black ones LOL

I never really had cravings, nor morning sickness. I really lucked out with the morning sickness thing from what I hear about what it's like. I didn't even feel differnt except when the baby was getting bigger!

With my first pregnancy I really wanted dry roasted peanuts. So yucky! That was about all I could keep down. Meat made me sick. I remember also wanting a jelly filled donut which I would never eat now! With my second I really wanted a ceasar salad. It took my husband forever to get home with it and by the time he got here, I was so grossed out by the sight of it! With my last one I wanted hamburgers the whole time. It's been over a year since she was born and I'm still a bit hamburgered out.

I really didn't crave anything. My sister told me I had the most boring pregnancy ever. No cravings. No high blood pressure. No crazy weight gain. No morning sickness. I couldn't complain!

I am the seventh kid in a family of eight. My mother craved raw potatoes with all of us. I was in upper elemenary school before I knew that other families did not eat raw potatoes sprinkled with salt.

With my son, I craved pizza. I had morning sickness and evening sickness, but at lunch, Pizza Hut better watch out. I would often eat two personal pan pizzas and also have a trip to the salad bar.

I craved anything salty. Beef made me sick to my stomach. Mainly the smell of it cooking.

don't think i craved anything. never had morning sickness. never kenw i was pregnant due to my cycle until 3 1/2 mos. then on FATHERS DAY seth kicked me :) :) :)
then a short times we later we went with my mom and sister adn were in an extremely expensive baby store. (yes it was just a teeny tiny little store in case anyone wants to ask) not just nice but over the top. it was fun. i went over to a crib that i absolutely loved and it was incredibly expensive. soon as i got there seth kicked me as a hint.

the beginning of a long history of "honey we can't afford that". bad enough the sneakers were $110! but of course, they were michael jordon's.

e (who would so very much LOVE to be able to have that tiny baby grow up again before her eyes *sigh* )

With seven children, I remember not craving a thing with the two girls. Morning sickness last till almost the third trimester.

Frozen yogurt was something that I could almost always get down.
