Scone Recipe?

I have been searching everywhere and have misplaced my grandmother's scone recipes! The recipe was very simple...flour, shortening, cream of tarter, salt etc. and they were cooked on a stovetop griddle. Does anyone have a recipe that sounds like this scone?

Also, she made treacle scones and I have never had them outside of my grandmother's kitchen! They were amazing! I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks :D
