View Full Version : Have you seen Embroidables in stores?
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but I was just wondering. I had visited the site a few times when I stopped into a local sewing store and while wandering their large machine embroidery section I saw Embroidables sets on cd for sale. I thought they were only available through the website. Anyways I would rather buy direct and eliminate the middle-man (haha).

This is the only place I have ever seen the designs, but I have to say, I don't really look at the CDs anymore in stores since discovering that I can download designs without buying a CD. My little part in saving the landfils (no CD to toss later on after I'm gone LOL).

I agree, this is the best place to buy, get it direct. I love being able to go ahead and download my designs, I have NO patience. ha ha

They used to carry them in a store in Bloomington IL but they seemed to fly off the shelves.
I like buying and having the actual cd but like the fact you can download and have immediatley!

I've seen the Dolly Mamas in walmart but they are cross stitch.

The quilt shop that I go to an embroidery club at got a advertising flyer from Embroidables and the owner had never heard of the designs before. After I told her how great they are and how wonderful they sew out, I think she may begin to stock them in her shop. Several of the other ladies wrote the website down also, so that was probably more incentive for her to start selling this line of designs

I saw the girl elf on a homemade card that was featured in Parents Magazine! I will try and get my sis to help me scan and put it on a post...I was flipping out when I saw it! It was sooooo cool :)

We have the Embriodables in our local Sewing Store in the Dayton, Ohio area. We have a company called The Stitching Post that has stand alone and JoAnn's stores. Their Super store in Centerville has a lot of the Embroidables. When they started to carry them, they had every set of designs and they showed them during their Quarterly Embroidery Club Meeting day. The designs are in nice skinny CD containers and the pictures are great. Honestly, some of the pictures on the CD cases show even more detail than online and it makes you want to buy ones you didn't even consider getting online (bad for my wallet). The Stitching Post also has a website if you are interested in getting the designs on CD. (http://www.stitchingpost.com/)

I believe the store I saw them in was the big ol' Stitching Post in Columbus (not one inside a Jo-Ann fabric).
I still look at certain things in the stores just because I like seeing it up close and knowing the colors are true, but I have never bought design cds. I too am impatient.

I have never seen them in any stores up here in the Great White North. In fact it is very hard to find any embroidery stuff in stores here.
I like the whole download idea also, saves on landfills and you get 10% of your purchase back also, so you can save even more from the landfills.
Have a great day

OMG The Stitching Post! *drool* I LOVE that store. That's where I bought all my thread storage boxes.
I haven't seen the designs in the store I buy my designs from since it's a Viking store and the individual company owned stores can only carry items that Viking stocks in their warehouse. :( I know there's hundreds of things Bonnie would love to carry and can't because of Viking's rules for her to follow.

With the rebate!

It's much more fun buying from Jami here anyway since we get to talk to her. :D

I encouraged my dealer in town to get embroidables in the store but she never has but I agree that I like dealing with Jami better. Fast delivery and great support.
My first thought when I saw them was actually "Hey! They better not be pirateing these!"

I would love to see these high quality designs in Jo Ann Fabrics. Our town doesn't have anything else, except Wal-Mart. Still, nothing can beat clicking on that design and downloading instantly!

I saw them at Sue's Bay Area sewing in Clearwater, Florida. The sales lady told me that she had never tried them and I told her that the Embroidables designs were the best I've ever worked with...and it's the truth.
I'm not sure who does the digitizing but it's some of the best work I have ever seen.
