Anyone purchased bibs and towels at IKEA. A friend was telling me about how great their bibs are. I guess they are a heavier weight cotton compared to most bibs and are a nice white...not that the white will stay white!

I have not seent he bibs, but I have seen the towels and they are quite yummy! A lady in my embroidery club brought some the she had embroidered on. Not sure how expensive they were, but they seem high quality

Never been to an IKEA. Where are they located? I will have to look into this. Are they sort of like a Sam's?

I meant to add my comments to this thread awhile back and got busy. Yes, I have purchased many, many of thier dish towels and also the bibs. I hate the bibs as they are a very thin terry cloth. While embroidering one of them the design must've been too much for the thin material becuase it cut right through. I managed to do about four of the bibs I bought but I won't ever buy them again from there.

The dish towels that have the blue checks, lines etc are fabulous. I LOVE them and everyone who has gotten a set of them lets me know they can't wait for the next time I give them something and that they want more towels. I really like that they have a loop on the back to hang them up. They are great. Cannot say enough good about them and their cheap price too.

IKEA also sells waffle weave towels. RUN! They are crap. Sorry for the choice of words but I bought a ton of them and washed them in warm water/cold rinse and then dried them. When they came out they were horrible. All of them were mishapen and just looked bad. I tried to iron them and that didn't work so we drove the 1 1/2 hours back to the closest store and returned every single pack other than the one that I attempted to embroider on even with the towel being so mishapen. I replaced them with a lot more of the blue and white towels and am very happy.

I'm sure the shipping costs would make ordering from the prohibitive but I thought I'd mention that they do sell online now so you could order from their website.
