I really think I need to name mine. Its really got a personality.....it just doesn't like it when I walk away when it is stiching a big design.

It usually snags or runs out of bobbin thread or something!!

Its alive!

The only machine in my room that has a name is my HQ16 professional quilting machine. Her name is "Maggie" after my great grandmother whose quilts inspired me to start quilting :)

I tend to name many inanimate objects, especially my cars LOL

I call it my Baby, even though it is huge. It's a Babylock, so that got the name going for me.

If I name my machine, will it do EXACTLY what I want it to? Even if it's not prgramed to do just that? I keep saying, "If it only could do...") Maybe it does know how to do what I want it to do, and I'm not asking it the right way. I think I will name my machine. Maybe we'll become friends!

My Brother 4000D is Gertie, after a favorite great Aunt. Not Gertrude, that's too snooty. Gertie is fun and happy and always ready to play. Her older sister, a Brother ULT 2001 is Bernice. Not named after anyone, it just seemed to fit her. She's a bit more picky about thread used and wants things her way. Gertie rolls with the flow and takes life as it comes!

I have not named my machine, but I know that she is a girl. I usually just refer to her as "good old girl". Of course I have called her other things when she messes up something special.
