I do...I look and search,,,follow links...belong to too many groups...it's like a kid hunting for a piece of candy...I am addicted to designs...I always have a plan for what I will make with certain sets of designs...then I purchase more and forget what I was going to do with the ones I got before...

I spend too much time on the computer looking when I could be stitching the ones I have already...LOL

That description fits me to a T! I am the exact same way. I will never, never be able to use all of designs that I have purchased. Not even if I sewed a different design every single day for the next 7 years

I spend far more time surfing and being inspired by all of the lovely projects that others make than actualy sewing. Imagine how productive I could be if I didn't use the internet so much......LOL

Well, I am an embroidery design addict, and not recovering. I'm just enjoying.

I am right there with you. Of course I think I surf more, now that I found this site, and am trying to get to 100.:o

Yeah, I look more than I embroider. The thing is, I HATE hooping. Hate it. So I don't do it as often as I wish I did.

Mabel, do you hoop your items in your hoop? I don't , I was taught not to. I do hoop the stabilzer, then use spray adhesive and place the item and pin it down good and add my wss. Then I'm ready. Does that help or do you do that already.

I hate to embroidery grosgrain ribbon. I've got a ton of that to do today.

It just takes me forever to decide on what I want to embroider on something I'm making.
I will look on the internet, then look in my files, and back to the internet. It takes a lot longer than actually making the project.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.:)

I do the same thing. I really need to start organizing my files better. I have tons of different cds with designs I forget about.
Maybe I'll do that on the long holiday drives to the family.

I love the shopping for designs.

I like looking at it, thinking about all the lovely things I could make with it!

Usually I end up looking at my to-do pile of alterations and school monograms, and I get depressed and end up not buying it, because I am thinking of all the non-fun sewing ahead of me!

I bought a lot of the early designs in packs, and will never want to use a lot of those. I am so happy that Internet sites like Embroidables have gathered wonderful digitizers and designers, and that we can buy just one from a pack. Now I buy quality only!

I seem to be drooling even more now that I blew the circut board on my machine and it is in the shop. It needs to come home soon, I might just buy a new machine in the mean time.

DROOL, DROOL, DROOL

I have found it easier not to use a hoop also. I love the sticky stablizer.

You are not alone. I am the same way! And I thought I was the only one with this problem. I guess we addicts are all the same after all.

I spend more time thinking about the designs and looking on the internet for
more designs than I spend at my embroidery machine. What happens when I die,
my children will never know the value of the designs on my computer. I guess what they don't know will not hurt them.

And I thought I was the only one that did that!!!!!!I'm glad to know I'm not alone. In fact, I should be stitching right now. Happy design surfing.

I tell myself it is a hobby, and that means it should be fun, so I don't get too upset with myself if the embroidery machine sits there while I play on embroidery sites. There is a lot of enjoyment that comes from looking at the designs and planning what to do with them. So my hobby is embroidering, and surfing embroidery sites, too. The important thing is that it's fun, right?

This is the first group and only group I belong to - to date. What groups would you suggest joining?
I have wish lists everywhere- because I want to keep in mind what I want to buy when there is a sale, or when I get gift certs.

I drool all the time because I don't think my husband is all for me spending MORE money on embroidery stuff! I just bought the Babylock Esante a couple months ago and software. Now I want to buy the font add-on and his response to that was..."I thought we were done buying stuff to get you started on this embroidery thing?" So I hardly dare buy anything! This 100 post credit of $25 will come in very handy about right now! Thanks Jami, you're making it possible with this offer and the credit back when I do by a design!

My problem is that between work and school I have PLENTY of online time, but no home time and therefore no sewing time....so researching and sketching projects and hunting for designs is all I get done.

Too funny...that's exactly what my husband said! "Santa" brought my machine last Christmas and i feel like i've spent as much on the fun stuff to download as the actual machine cost!

Isn't the "stuff" what actually makes this so much fun....:p

I'm all about all the additional fun stuff you "HAVE" to have in order to effectively use your machine. Buying a machine and not getting all the great designs is like having a banana split without the whip cream, nuts and cherry....It's just not the same.

That's what men don't understand (unless they embroider) is that it's not JUST about the machine.:hahaha:
