Is anyone done with their christmas decorations yet? I'm almost done. The lights are on the house outside. The garland is on the patio. Lights lining the walkway. Wreath on the door. Christmas tree up and decorated in the house. Stockings hung. And there is still a huge pile of stuff sitting on the coffee table that I have yet to put up. I'm pooped! Maybe this weekend it will get all done. :)

We haven't even begun thinking about it yet. :( I'm SO jealous of your REAL tree. I miss having a real tree and going to the tree farm. I need to drag my husband out there this year just to help us get in the spirit of the season I think. He's never been one to decorate but he's such an awesome guy otherwise I can't complain ya know.

Shoot, my husband hasn't even had time to get them out of the attic yet. He went hunting with his brother and cousin right after Thanksgiving, and was gone for several days. I'm hoping he can get started on that this weekend. My neighbors are outside right now putting up their lights and decorations, and it's 70 degrees outside!

No decorations here this year. Hubby is out of town for two weeks right now and leaves for Iraq the week of Christmas. We borrowed Mamaw's small tree and put that up. Keeping it simple to be able to have time to do other things!

I'm sorry. BIG HUGS! I can imagine you aren't feeling too much like celebrating anything this year. :(

Thank you so much for the hugs! I am so glad I have found this board before he left. He is a government engineer for the Army this trip around. He won't be going in the same capacity as he did before when he was in the Army. He will only be gone until the middle of May. I think as busy as embroidery has been and three kids this time around, time will pass very quickly.

I think I'm going to have to bribe my children to decorate the house. I've been working at least 40 hours a week at my part-time job plus I'm trying to get customer jobs done before Christmas. I just don't have one ounce of energy left to decorate...

Wow, that's too bad. You are certainly in my thoughts. I hope he will not be gone long.

The time you are giving up with your husband must be very hard. I hope the time until mid May goes fast for all of you, too.
My son and husband dragged up the fake trees (I miss the real one, too), and my son and I did some decorating. Somehow, my husband and I balked over putting up outside lights this year. I think that this is the first time we haven't done that. We waited until it got too cold, and now there is a bit of snow on the ground.

I wish you were closer because you can come to my house and sit with me and at least have someone to talk to. I guess we'll have to see about keeping you busy here. ;)

Ours is all done. We did the tree and house on Friday. We had to buy a new tree - artificial flocked. I decorate with all glass, silver, and gold ornaments.
My son and grandson did the house yesterday. We just put up large white lights.

I just want to hug you! I wish you were closer, too. I think it will stay busy on this board, now that everyone is getting to know one another.

I was just talking to someone the other day about flocked trees. I had never known you could buy a flocked tree. She was at a gift shop in Nashville and someone had drove all the way from Knoxville to pick up a flocked tree they had ordered. It was done in Tennessee Vols orange! She said it was actually very beautiful. Can you post a pic of what a flocked tree looks like??

Awwwwww I got me a girlfriend. :p My husband's gonna be jealous now.
I have the inside of the home decorated, but unfortunately for the neighborhood, the outside is being done in stages. Every week, something is getting added- I think by New Years I will have been to Target / Wal Mart 50 times just for lights- well that may be exaggerating a bit- maybe 49 times.
I just went there tonight to get more lights-
I do not do much outside, no one sees my house anyways since I live in the woods but inside I have started decorating. I have two trees up (which is kind of cheating because one of them never got taken down from last year--no joke)with a boatload of wrapped present under them. I also have my light up Christmas village up but not arranged how I want it, I think I will get a second folding table to put it out on, it is huge. I have stocking hanging on the mantle over the fireplace and my Sugar and Spice oil from B&BW in my oil burner.

for once I can say yes in plenty of time!
My brother was here over Thanksgiving and he and my DH put up the outside and put together the tree and put the lights on,,, so all I had to do was put up the ornaments and the inside "stuff" which i had started on just a little before Thanksgiving, LOL.
but here is the funny part,, I STILL have one pumpkin sitting on my front steps,, I asked my Bro to throw it out when he was doing outside stuff but he never did then I keep forgetting until it is dark and cold when I turn the outside lights on and I am NOT hauling it around to the trash then!
