I am putting together some ideas for a few new embroidery projects and was wondering what you are into these days and what you would like to see more inspiration for?
Would you like project ideas about dressing up blanks (ie, shirts, burp cloths, dish towels)? I feel like this one is done so much, but yet seems to be very popular as well, because they are things that get used often).
Or would you like projects focused on things that are sewn from scratch (ie, little zippered pouches, lunch totes, etc. things that are more "out of the box" type projects)?
Or something completely different?
Please, please, please with a cherry on top, tell me what you like. :)

Of course it's always fun to see any embroidery project. But you would probably guess from me that I like to see "out of the box" projects. There's something about figuring out a new way to use embroidery that is exciting. I haven't been able to embroider for a long while now but hope that that will change soon and new inspiration would help! Can't wait to see what you are creating!

Something that would be neat is maybe FEATURE 1 embroidery design/set with 3 different projects done... 3 different ways to use that design....
Just an idea.... :D

Hey Anpola! Good to see you chime in. I always love your projects and yes I could have guessed you would like "out of the box" projects. You are such a creative gal! I personally think that too, but I'm beginning to wonder if I think like the rest of the majority...haha?

I also like the out of the box sewn from scratch ideas. It's nice to make something different.

Jami ~ even though you are much younger than I am, I still believe you will agree in that some days you get up and feel like doing one thing and then other days you wake up and can't stand the though of doing that same thing that day for one reason or another. Having said that, I think you should go with what YOU feel like doing the day you sit down to create something that just trips your trigger that day. :p
We have such a varied group here that I can see where any of your ideas would be helpful/welcome from someone (even those who are only stalking and not posting too :D ) I think showing anything to highlight the uses possible in all ways for your designs would be good. I know there are members that just got their first machines given some of the questions I've seen lately so they would probably be thrilled to see simple projects using your designs like dish towels or small gifts like that. I'd hate to say it BUT.........you realize Christmas is only 9 months way right? NEVER too early to start on those gifts so you can avoid the rush like I do and be stuck in the sewing room on Christmas eve. ;) Even the long time members could benefit from something like that because we all do things just a little differently and you may give a tip that we haven't seen or used yet.
Hey,, there ya go Jami ~ How about focusing on gifts so we all are ahead of the game this year during the holidays. :D

Great idea Vicki! I like the idea of focusing on gifts too! They may be centered around Christmas, but they can always be created with a different embroidables design to make it appropriate for any time of the year! I used the idea that Jami had given us at Christmas last year with the wine bag and made up a few for Anniversary gifts. (Of course, I took no pictures :()
As I am typing this, I just had an inspiration  I have a house warming party to attend at the end of next month, I am going to stitch up some cocktail napkins using the Dolly Mama Wine Dollies, probably the olive design!
I love seeing how the embroidables designs are used in "less traditional" ways, but all projects give me inspiration :)

Jami - I think it would be great to feature designs that would work on different kind of projects - I'm all about quilting and you know I'd love to see some yoga designs on your site.

Great ideas! It seems like most of us like the nontraditional project ideas--which are my fave, too. I have a long list of ideas that I'll start to work on. I came across an awesome one last night and can't wait to post it. Not only is it simple and darling, but it's also very, very YUMMY!
Kathy, I hope you'll post some pictures of napkins you make for your friend.
And Dawn, are you really down to just 3 1/2 months....wowweeeeee!!
