I am very new to the hobby of sewing and have fallen in love with applique. I know this is an embroidery site but I need any input. I tried a new fabric on an applique design and it was a disaster! It is a semi-stretchy material with little sequins made into the fabric. I was told to use a denim needle that was very sharp and to be sure to have a cotten ball and alcohol handy to clean my needle because it may get sticky. Has anyone used this fabric?? When I used it my thread broke every 100 stitches and it was basically a mess. Any advice on this fabric or something like it would be greatly appreciated!! The fabric is just too cute too give up on!
