Yeffi - that is adorable....You do good work. :)
Last year I embroidered a kitchen towel with a snowman on it and underneath I embroidered "I love you Snow Much"....you could embroider a Christmas card with the same snowman and say that. :D

Okay all, I just bought two sets of San Lori designs because of someone else's projects! Now stop all this! :D No really, that dress is gorgeous! I love those jumper dresses on little girls.

Yes, Yes..me too..Do you know what pattern it is..With 2 girls you cannot have enough cute dress patterns especially since my youngest would prefer to be in a dress 24 hours a day!

How are New Look patterns to follow? Some of the pattern companies make their stuff so complicated that you need to have some type of advanced degree to understand them. LOL

It is four pieces.
The front and back are cut on the fold, and then there is the lining at the top. I have actually scanned in the newborn size, because I have used it so much, and I wanted to make sure I had it in the future, :lol, because i have used it so much it is falling apart.
Basically, you cut the front and the back on the fold. Then, you cut out the lining on the fold. You stitch the side seams of the lining and then the side seams of the dress. You put the lining on top of the dress, with the lining and the dress right sides together, and stitch around the upper edge of the dress. Then you just turn the lining to the inside. Then you hem. I topstitch around the top of the dress, to make sure the lining stays flat.
I monogram it before I stitch it together as well, so there isn't so much bulk on the machine, and so that you can't see the back of the monogram on the inside of the dress.
I have used snaps instead of buttons, as well. I have done eyelet on the bottom of the dress, and I have done the rick-rack like I did above.
It is my favorite dress pattern because it is so easy to do, the hardest thing is the buttonholes!

Great. Thanks for the info about the pattern. I'm not scared of buttonholes since my machine does them for me. LOVE that feature. If you aren't aware, they sell paper that's very similar in feel to interfacing but it's used to copy and create your own patterns. That would save you a lot of hassle if you copied the pattern size you need and then you'd just copy each size as your child grew since that's a multi sized pattern. I don't recall now but that paper was really cheap.
