WOW! Who is the lucky recipient of those? And weren't they a pain to hoop?

Most of them are orders, so they are going to familes in Fla, and Oh, and all over, :lol.
they aren't a pain to hoop, I make the stockings, so I embroider the cuff before I stitch it to the sock part:)

Those are awesome! My son asked last year for a stocking and I have yet to make one for him but still need to do that. I was planning on making one for him, his fiancee, and my new granddaughter too.

They are soooo easy to do.
I just made my pattern! I just cut out a piece of newspaper to look like I wanted it too, like an elf boot.

I have a lot of patterns to use and really figured like you that just making your own pattern would work. They are really easy to make. What did you make yours from as far as material?

Okay - now you're making some of us look bad....:p
I have not had a chance to do any of my Christmas embroidery. I've been too busy with work and finishing up some custom window treatments and bedding for some customers. I'm hoping by the end of this week to get started on my Christmas items.:vroam:
Wonderful job....they are very cute.

I started at 9 am, and finished about 11pm. I took breaks to untangle children, bath children, etc, but for the most part i worked through.

I use felt to make mine. I ordered it online, since NOWHERE in my area has felt in green and red. So, I ordered it from onlinefabricstore.net.

You did really good. I get too distracted when I'm sewing and it takes me forever.

Those are the neatest stockings!

I have to get some things done soon- and start sharing.

Very cute! You did all those in one day? Wow, you must have had a really good assembly line going. I love the ball on the toe... just too cute.

They are roughly 7 inches at the top, and 15 inches from the top to the heel. They are deeper though, because the foot of the stocking is kind of an arch. So, from the right side of the stocking to the bottom, it is roughly 17 - 18.5 inches.
Thanks ya'll!! I mailed them out on Monday, and now I am not making anymore until at least the start of the year!!!!

How did you do that first batch. They are wonderful. My stockings will not fit my arm...I have to attached them using the hoop to create the design but when I place them in the hoop it leaves no room to put them on the track for the embroidery and i can't even get them over the arm. someone suggested taking a side seam out....

nevermind. i see the other post. you made the stocking itself....VERY good.
I could not see the picture of the stockings on my other computer. Now I'm on the big one at home and so glad I remembered to relook at this thread. Those stockings are so cute and the pointy toes set them off. What a good job and a good idea.
