DD's Halloween costume- a bird

This was the first non-embroidery sewing I'd done since middle school home-ec! My mom sews, so she helped with instructions a bit, but I did all the sewing... including hand-sewing on EIGHT 6' feather boas!!! :eek:

I bet you found blue feathers in the strangest places even after Halloween (at least I would have). Besides my cat, Jack, would have had so much fun. This costume is adorable and obviously filled with talent and love for such a cute little birdie.

omg THAT IS PRECIOUS!
It must of taken forever. But that is a great idea to use feather boas instead of something else- it probably saved some time at least. She is adorable.

That is too precious. I can't imagine how much work sewing with feathers is....but it was definitely worth it. Just look at her smile.
