I'm on several parenting boards online, and one had a Secret Santa exchange. The person I was assigned to is Muslim, so holiday things were out.

As soon as I read she liked batik prints, I knew what I wanted to do. The fabric store near me has well over 150 batik bolts- just gorgeous! I looked at her list of "liked colors" and chose these two. It was really hard to get a good picture, though.

The wrapped presents in the pockets are a really cool standing spatula and some small packages of spices from Penzey's spices. (REALLY great spices if you've never had them before!)

That is neat how you thought outside the box like that. The fabric choice is really neat and what you put in the pockets is a great idea. Good job!

Honestly, the photos don't do the fabric justice... and they weren't my favorite prints there, but they fit the colors she liked.
