Are those really worth the money? I mean are the colors good colors that you use a lot?

I've used mine quite a bit. Although I prefer poly thread, I do occasionally want Rayon so this chest is just perfect. I love the chest as it protects the thread, takes up so little space and makes finding specific colors really easy. It was great when I was starting out to have so many colors available. And the close shades are great for shading, especially flowers.

I liked it so much I ordered the large chest for the large 1100yd poly spools. The full chest was more $$ than I could afford but I got an empty chest and have slowly filled it up as I could afford it.

What does one use the rayon thread for? My grandmother had bought some big cones of Madiera rayon thread and I don't care for it at all. I use the Poly x for $2.00 also.

I don't use Rayon as much as I used to, not after having some wall hangings fade from sunlight. I used to like it for things I was going to frame or that wouldn't be washed very often because it was so shiny. The poly is now right up there with it for shine so it's not that big a deal.

Some people have been wanting the thread chest and waiting for a sale. Just thought I'd let everyone know about it.

Thank you for the info. Even though I am late I am going to try and get one. Being in Canada we don't seem to get the great buys like you do.
